It depends on the area you live in, and the doctor you use. The closest place to where I live that you can have a vbac is like two hours away... no thanks....a lot of DR's won't do it because there is a chance of your uterus tearing and could prevent you from having more children in the future. Goodluck and talk to you OBGYN

I had my first baby by section, and then with my second child, (born four weeks ago) we tried for a vbac. After 28 hours of labor and only progressing to one centimeter even with pitocin and walking and stretching and every other trick in the book, we went ahead and had another section. However, even though my story didn't turn out for the best, a good friend of mine had a successful vbac. It all depends on the situation.

Christen,I think it depends on why you had a section, and on the doctor.
Jennifer, do you have any more info about your uterus tearing??I had a section, but not because my labour didnt progress or anything, it was just my babys position.Would I be at risk to try for a VBAC?
