how long does it take to exercise after a c section and is there a special book or video on what we can do?

my doctor said after 6 months to do ab exercises but I think any other exercise sooner.

I started lightly exercising about 4 weeks postpartum. My doc didn't mention anything to me about ab exercises. I started doing them about 6 weeks after delivery. I am now 5 1/2 months past my c-section and I work out just like I did before I got pregnant and had no problems. I've got 2 more pounds to lose and the baby weight will be gone.

After my c-section i just took it slow, about 6-7 days after i started to go on short walks and as time went on they got longer. I can't remember when i started crunches but i just made sure i didn't do more than i could handle. Your body will let you know when you are ready.

I walked every day after my csection and at 6 wks I got the go ahead for situps.
