I would consult your OB... I'm shy of 3 weeks and have almost no blood now, just a clear discharge...

Did you by any chance have a depo shot while you were in the hospital? I had one two days after my c-section and I bled heavily and bright red for six months afterwards. I thought I had something terrible wrong with me...I bled so much that sometimes I couldn't leave the house. When I told my OB, he said that some women bleed up to nine months after they start depo. There was nothing I could do but let it run its course.

I had a c-section and i didnt quit bleeding for 6 weeks after i had to have a d&c because i was bleeding come to find out my uterus didnt contract back down

I had bright red bleeding for 6 weeks after my c-section. At my 6-week-checkup with my OB, she told me if the bleeding did not stop in another week, we would have to intervene and do something. Then it magically stopped in the middle of that next week, so I did not have to do anything.
