I had c-section a month ago and just in last 2-3 days developed an infection just below my incision. It ruptured today. THe OB gave antibiotics and asked to clean the wound with hydrogenperoxide. It is very tender still. My OB said it is caused by infection in the wound somehow and although rare, it is not very unusual. I hope it heals soon as it worries me and keeping me from breastfeeding.

I forgot to add above that it is definitely cellulitis and my OB said it could spread rapidly if not treated immediately.

If it is cellulitis, which is an infection, you need to get treatment immediately. Don't mess around with it because it can pass to other areas of the body quickly. Recovery takes a good 3-6 months, but you can usually start exercising around 2 months, just take it easy at first. Sharp pains in your incisional area most likely means that the scar area is healing. Itching can also be a sign of this. I had my baby 8 months ago and it's nothing to be concerned about unless you start having discharge from the incision.
