I had an emergency c-section last November as a result of hand prolapse during labour, this eventually led to the death of the baby and am seriouslly eager to be pregnant again. When is the right time.

My doctor said to wait a year, but I got pregnant 9 months after my c-section and my Dr was fine with it... I had fully recovered from it and my body had gone back to normal...so i would say once you feel better and feel as though you have returned to your right state of health to go ahead and try again. I am truly sorry for your loss. Good Luck

Hi ,Sorry for your loss , I can relate.
I lost my baby at 39 weeks on jan 2 2009 date of my schedule c section . My ob told me I could start try again after 6 months . This was my 3 c section ,usually they ask you to wait 9 to 12 months before trying again but I guess it depends on the patient also ,how well you recovered ,how did your incision looked . I have a friend who had a c section and a very high risk pregnancy she got pregnant after 3 months and baby was born full term and healthy and mom was ok too.
I wish you all the best.
