Hi moira. I am also 37 wks and my baby is a bit transverse. I was told this was becaue the baby has more than the normal amount of amniotic fluid to move around in ( my amniotic level is 27 and normal max level is 25). Hopefully he will move head down in the pelvis when I am induced next week. I really don't want a C-section. Maybe your little one has a lot of amnio fluid to swim around in as well? Good Luck to you!

Hi, my daughter was transverse because she was tiny...full term and she only weighed 5 pounds 9 ozs. I am very small and do not have a long torso, I also have a juvenile pelvis and since she couldn't get in my upper pelvic bowl she just decided to lay hammock style. My sons were bigger and since I lost about 3 inches of room due to the pelvis thing they actually cracked my xiphoid cartilage since they were head down. Good luck ladies!
