Well I don't know how "good" this is, but liver is the best source of iron (beef, chicken or pork liver). The thought of that makes me want to throw up though ;-). Beef, shrimp and turkey are also supposed to be good sources of iron. There are also some cereals that are iron-enriched - you just have to check the labels. |

Red meat and poultry have lots of iron that is in the easiest form for your body to absorb. |

Here are other iron-rich foods: Raisins, Whole Wheat Bread, Beans (red, dark red or black), Lentils, Sweet Potatoes, Spinach, and Egg-yolks. Good luck... |

You could try an iron supplement. Slow-fe is a great one, timed release so you don't feel any nausea. You can purchase it at all major drug stores. I was put on in the last trimester of my first pregnancy and it worked very well! |
