My baby is 4 1/2 months, I have gained a lot of weight during my pregancay. I went from 120 to 183.
I am now at 148. I have hadf terriable lower back pain, and foot pain. I had a c-section. I don't know if that matters, but I am in pain. Does anyone else have this issue? I don't know if it's the weight gain, or what?
I need tips how to lose the weight, and heal my back.
Please Help!

Hi Kat. did you have an epidural during pregnancy. I had one with my first child 9 years ago and my right leg and back has been dreadful ever since. During the birth of my 2nd child the labour pains were all in my back and tops of my legs. Now 6 years later I have dreadful back pain and it is very painful lifting my right leg, even climbing steps is sore. I have heard that epidurals cause problems long term - but who knows.

and i have gained a lot of weight over the years so that may have something to do with it. My friend had a c section and had pains in her thigh and found a blood clot which had to be removed at hospital. i would check with your doc just to be on the safe side. Good luck

My daughter is 5 months, and I have awful back pain too. But it could have more to do with how much more bending over and lifting we're doing. Do you carry your baby in a carrier when you take him/her out? That adds a strain on your back - try just carrying him/her in your arms. And try changing him/her on a changing table that's high up instead of one where you have to really bend. When you wake up in the morning, before you go to the baby, bring your knees to your chest a few times to stretch out your back, and maybe that will help a little with the pain.

i had an epidural and wont do it again. when my first daughter was 2 mts i began feeling numb in my left leg and sharp pains in my lower back and abdomen. come to find out i had a slipped disc in my back pinching a nerve. and its right where i recieved the epidural. so this baby is coming out natural!!

I had my baby 7 months ago. I have had previous children plus an epidural so I thought maybe the pain in my lower back would go away but it has only gotten worse. I am a older mom (40) so I thought maybe this was why because of my age but from what I've been reading it could be anything. So what now? I want some excercises to do or something. This is getting unreal. It is hard for me to give her a bath because of the pain or ben over to change her just everything.. Any suggestions?

My back pain is a low back pain. It seems right where the epidural was at. I thought it would go away, i thought maybe it was just age and now i don't know what to think after I've ben reading everything. Seems like this is a common issue.
