I wanted to know when others started getting their stretch marks(if any)..during their 1st pregnancy. It's my first and I'm 31 weeks right now...and I haven't gotten them YET...but, I know my skin is very able. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I was wondering when the average was with everyone else, although I'm sure it is based on person to person. I didn't realize I'd worry so much about something like this!!
Thanks a lot guys!

I was stretch mark free until 36 weeks, then it seemed like everyday a new one appeared. I ended up with quite a few by 40weeks when I delivered.

I thought I didn't have any, until after giving birth. The next day I realized I had two. I was very happy though, because they are small and now that a few months have passed, not very noticable. I also worried about this, I tried everything to prevent it, which I know is quite silly...I lotioned my stomach everyday.

well, i started getting mine at six month in my pregnancy although i did gain about 25 pounds too. I didnt think i would get them either but its not too bad usually it will fade lighter after delivery. And just think you get a speacil baby out of it too. good luck and just keep putting lotion on.

I gained 60 lbs and didn't get a single stretch mark. Part of it is genetics and the other is how well you take care of your skin before you get pregnant. I heard that there is some sort of japanese cream that works really well on stretch marks if you get them. Apparently, when they are purple or red you can rid yourself of them but once they are white/silver it's too late.

I didn't get any last pregnancy. I guess it's related to genetics but probably more related to diet and weight gain. I say this b/c I got stretch marks during puberty on my hips but then I didn't during preg.

With the first I just had stretch marks on the boobs, no where else. With my third I gained almost twice as much weight so that put some stretch marks on my body. But not really bad once, some on my thighs and under the belly (where the underwear’s go) Even if you do get them that is the mothers beauty of having children. Don't worry and may God Bless your labor.

I got mine very early in my pregnancy and they are still coming. I was told by my nurse that I must be blessed to have strech marks like I do. She also asked if my mom had them like I do cuz if so it is herdity. I was unsure but after talking to my mom I learned that it is not for she does not have them like I do. I think I was 10 weeks pregnant when mine started and now I am 29 weeks and 6 days.
