i am 30 yrs old-ttc for 1 year and just discovered i have bad PCOS. please share your stories because i really need some hope. my appt with my specialist is january 26 to discuss the medicatons i should take. i already went for a transvaginal and blood work. what medications did you take and how long did it take to conceive. please share !

I too have PCO and was trying for 2.5 years. I tried clomid and metformin...but it did not work. I ended up doing accupuncture (it is supposed to normalize your hormones after 3 months), staying on metformin, eating a low carb diet and excercising everyday. Something in the combination must have worked, because I ended up getting pregnant without fertility drugs.

I to have PCOS. I am on Clomid as well as Glucophage. So far it hasnt worked... I do know that many people have had great results this way though. Mel- I was wondering if you were considered annovulatory while on the clomid and Metiformin?
What doesage were you on with both as well.
