My craving this week is for bananas. I eat 3-4 a day. I have read a few things about this but was wondering if any of you have heard anything about eating too many bananas?

I don't know why too many bananas would be bad for you, although they are high is potassium. My MIL ate tons of bananas and my dh hates them, so that might be a side effect :)

As long as you don't have a problem with your sugar (GD) the bananas should be fine.

I heard that bananas a great later to help with cramping, I don't see why they would he harmful at anytime. BUT, I have never liked bananas and started craving them so I was eating 2-3 per day. I was also having bad indigestion and acidic stomach that nothing seemed to help. I ran out of bananas one day and my stomach felt better from then on. It could just be councidence but if your stomach gets alittle yucky you might want to keep that in mind.

I never heard anything about too many bananas except that it might be a little hard on your stool...I didn't like bananas before pregnancy, now I can eat them all the time...

Your body adjusts and gets rid of any extra vitamins in your system. It's hard to overdose on any because of this reason. Potassium, if inject straight up, can be deadly and can cause your heart to stop, but eating several bananas should not harm you. I did read somewhere that if you have kidney problems you shouldn't eat too many.
