Help! What Would My Doc Have Saw In My Urine?

My Stepdaughter is approx 12weeks pregnant and still suffering from severe nausea, and throwing up, her doctor put her on the pills for morning sickness, but when the doc checked her urine the other day, she said "you are taking a week off work" and i'm sending you to a dietician? My guess is it could be sugar?? she didn't ask why?? its her first pregnancy and she is soooo scared! Anyone that may know i would appreciate your help. thanks

If it's sugar= possible gestational diabetes

If it's protein=risk factors for preeclampsia.

More likely going to be sugar based on her gestational age

you get reffered to a dietician for diabetes, make sure she gets alot of water and healthy food!! if so she needs those sugar levels be contoled!! you dont want the baby to have birth defects!! besk of luck!! im diabetic and ttc and that is my factor at this time!! if they are not under control im not ttc, I dont want to put my baby's life over me not having this controled....

Why didn't you just ask the doctor what he saw? Did he refuse to tell you?
