Is Choclate/coco Good For Pregnancy?

Hey guys I am 6 weeks pregnant and drink milk daily.Since childhood I have had terrible nausea for milk.I just cannot drink warm/hot milk coz of the smell.But since I am pregnant now I do drink milk but cold milk and add ovaltine for the choclate flavor .Is that ok its onle 2 teaspoons of ovaltine I add.Is it good for the baby?

hate milk but drink it for the calcium maybe you could use Tums instead. Ovaltine is not a bad idea since its packed with vits too. Not sure about caffiene content thought.

I personally gave up drinking milk 2 years ago. I've read many shocking articles on milk. A month or so after I gave it up I notice many changes in my body and mind. Allergies cleared up, runny nose went away among a few. There are many ways to receive calcium without drinking milk. I personally have never had ovaltine. If you like it though and enjoy drinking milk than don't stop. But I would suggest doing a little research on the pro's & con's of milk and decide for yourself.

Switch to soy milk. The calcium in cows milk is not as available as the fortifies soy drinks. krc is right about the problems with dairy. Cow's milk is the number one allergic food in this country. It has been well documented as a cause in diarrhea, cramps, bloating, gas, gastrointestinal bleeding, iron-deficiency anemia, skin rashes, atherosclerosis, and acne.t is the primary cause of recurrent ear infections in children. It has also been linked to insulin dependent diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, infertility, and leukemia.

Hopefully, you will reconsider your position on using milk as a form of nourishment. Small amounts of milk or milk products taken infrequently, will likely cause little or no problems for most people. You would do better to get calcium from dark leafy greens or a suplement. The chocolate is not really a problem if it is not used in excess.
