I think that you definately need to start gaining some weight, some one your size should gain 25-35 lbs throughout the pregnancy. I would talk to your doc and find out how you can gain some weight!! Good luck

I am about 21 weeks pregnant and I have lost six pounds and have gained none. The doctor has not said it was unsafe so im sure not gaining anything is ok.

your baby isn't starving because it doesn't eat food like we do !!! It's getting all the nutrients from pre natal pills and food that you eat. Understand your baby only weighs about a pound or so any other weight would be from the sac it's in which shouldn't weigh much. You can gain no more than 15 lbs. your whole pregnancy and that is fine. Some women gain alot and some only gain baby weight. If your not gaining much be glad. Im 13 weeks and my weight flucuates up or down 3 lbs. But haven't gained any so to speak. Im 5-7, 133lbs

Don't " try to gain weight " !!!! Having all that extra fat in not necessary. Fat doesn't determine or assist you in any way other than carrying more weight and more weight to lose !!!! Unless your just naturally gaining weight , dont worry about it.
