Women who have a peanut allergy in the family of their spouses should avoid peanuts during pregnancy. If you're not sure, just avoid them.

Women who have allergies in general should avoid peanuts. It is not necessary to have a peanut allergy to pass the problem along to the baby. Maternal allergies in general make your baby more susceptible. I would not take the chance if it were me.

I read somehwere that it's fine to eat peanuts while pregnant. It won't give your baby an allergy to peanuts. Peanut butter is a good source of protein anyway if you don't want to eat too much meat. :)
