Cramps are very normal in early pegnancy. I was very surprised to read about how common they are. Before I was pregnant, I had only heard people talk about morning sickness. My husband thinks people lump a bunch of symptoms under the umbrella term "morning sickness" to describe any discomfort. It lets people know that it's pregnancy-related, without revealing too many details. This website will be invaluable in helping you to identify symptoms. I would definitely recommend getting a couple of good books. I have found "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" to be wonderful sources of information. Good Luck!
