I was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, which my mom also has. I believe I've had it for years but it's recently gotten a lot worse. I'm about 5 weeks pregnant now, and was just wondering if there's anyone else out there in the same situation.

Hi There,

I am 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 2 years ago after being unwell for years!! It hasn't effected my pregnancy except when I had acupuncture which caused a flare up. I am a bit concerned at how I will feel after the birth but have a couple of ways that I manage the pain.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year whilst pregnant. I had been having pain and severe fatigue for years. My pregnancy was a nightmare. I was in agony and so tired. I couldnt take my anti-inflamation meds or pain killers so I was pretty much stuck trying to deal with it. I have now had my baby and I feel worse than ever. I am so low at the moment. No-one seems to understand what this condition is. Sometimes I think they think I make it all up cos there's no evident signs of anything wrong. I live in the UK and the support and information on this illness doesnt seem to be readily available and I think a lot of people are unaware of what it actually is. I hadnt heard of it before. How are you feeling HunnyBear?
