I'm 23 wks pregnant w/ my 2nd child n for the past few weeks I've noticed when I sit down I get this sharp pain that turns into an aching throbbing pain in my tail bone. Its so sensative even on soft seats n pillows I have to hold myself up sit on one buttcheek as long as I'm not sitting directly on my bottom. I havent injured myself or anything but it seriously hurts! Has anyone else experienced tailbone pain r aches? Do u think it has something to do with my hips spreading? This stinks!

I have no idea what it is from but i have it too with a back ache it hurts really bad... I have heard of other ppl having it also so I think its pretty normal! It might just be pain from the weight in your uterus!

I hear that tailbone pain can be common in pregnancy however I just recently had it SEVERE!!! I knew something more was going on. Come to find out I have a cyst at the bottom of my tailbone. If yours is that bad get it checked out. I am going to try and get rid of mine but if not they have to cut it out...yeah I know, great. I am 29 weeks along. I did find something that works WONDERS. It is a menthol patch that you can stick down there. It works wonders.

In my last pregnancy I had the tailbone pain. I had a ultrasound done and nothing was there but come to find out mines where contractions. I was starting to dilate and that was where my tailbone pain came from. If it really is a bother to you have your doctor check it out. Good luck
