Mirena Complications

I recently had the mirena iud but had 5 weeks of bleeding and decided to get it removed.That was 10 days ago and i've had bleeding ever since,my Doctor said it was from the hormones and it would eventually regulate it's self.This seems odd to me since the hormone in the mirena is supposed to lighten or stop your periods altogether.Has anyone else experienced this and how long should i put up with it?

I would also like to know if anyone else has experience bleeding from Mirena. I have been bleeding now for 3 months!!! My doctor wants to wait one more month before we remove it to see if it stops, but I'm not sure I can wait that long. But I also don't want to remove it if I'm just going to keep bleeding!

I had my mirena for a year. I bled for about 3 weeks off and on. Gradually the spotting went away and i had only a light period every few months. I has it taken out and pretty heavily for about 5 days then it stopped. I dont know if it stopped on it sown or because i got pregnant. I found out i was pregnant 2 weeks after getting it removed.
