Mucus Plug

Im 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant and four days ago I think I started losing my mucus plug. Everyone talks about it being brownish or pinkish from blood but mine is just sticky and yellow or greenish. Is this my mucus plug? I only feel a few irregular cramps every now and than so I dont think Im in labor yet, my little one is two days late already!

I lost my plug at 38 weeks and it didn't have blood in it either. unfortunately I'm still pregnant at 40 weeks. My Dr told me that some women won't start to pass any kind of blood untill when they are actually in labor and farther dialated. I have had cramps occuring since I lost it too and was told that it is due to your cervix ripening and dialating more. Hope that helps!
