My Urethra HURTS Every Once In Awhile! What Is Going On

Hello All! I am 34 weeks now and I am having sharp pains in my urethra. I've had urinary track infections before and it feels like that but with a UTI the pain never goes away. My urethra would burn constantly all day long until I would get medication for it. This feels like the same thing but the pain only lasts for seconds at a time. This may sound dumb but can the baby pull or jerk on my urethra? Maybe thats what it is???

I am 33 weeks and I have the same question... I feel the same feeling and I thought I was just going nuts. I wonder the same thing. I am glad I am not the only one.

I have that problem and asked my doc about it last week. Baby is either laying on it or occasionally kicking it. Totally harmless.

Thank you for bringing this up. The past few times I have gone to the doc I have told them I feel alittle "UTI-ish" and they asked how. I couldn't answer and they found no UTI signs. It has come and gone, now I know why. Thank you! Glad I'm not alone.

I get those pains all the time, it is baby pushing on the nerves down in that area, just wait until head is down and baby is bigger!! lol I'm 38w3d and the pain is a bit worse now, I can even feel baby moving around while the paiin happens, she is pushing her head down and get it ready to come out. This is what I have been told anyway! and I had it with all my pregnancies, this being my 3rd so I know it's not UTI for me.
