I am almost 19 weeks pregnant; I had really bad morning sickness, day and night. Why the hec is it called “morning” sickness? I stopped taking my vitamins because it made it worst and that nasty taste in my mouth… My husband Peter drinks this all vitamin and mineral drink called Simone, I guess I would call it an healthier version of Gatorade, It allows your body to absorb all the nutrients it needs really quickly. I had some and believe me or not, but my dizziness went away, no more vomiting, no more morning sickness! Of course at first I didn’t notice but I would drink it when I wake up or when I feel as if I’m getting sick and it really helps. Pete’s an health freak even more than me but he would drink it after he drinks alcohol and he wouldn’t get hangovers. I brought it to my doctor’s office and asked him if it was okay for the baby and he said I didn't even need to take my prenatal vitamins this drink had all the nutrients I need basically.

I feel sorry for you because I know how difficult it is to wake up and throw up allover the place, but this thing worked for me. I will try to get more info from Pete but all I know is that a doctor developed it for the military to prevent dehydration and cramping in the desert and also that it is approved for children. If you want to try it I can get the info from hubby for you.

Hey mekia, that sounds like good stuff. It's called Simone? Where do you get it? Thanks!

Another alternative to prenatals is Flintstone childrens vitamins. They also contain everything you need. My doctor told me to switch, because no matter what time of day I took my prenatals, they make my morning sickness sooo much worse.

Yeah my doc told me about Flintstones too, but since hubby had Simone I figure I didn’t need to buy it. Hey Justine you have to order it online at Simonesupperenergy.com and you can read about the doctor and the product, but I think if you mention my husbands name I think you should get it for less. The best thing is to read the product details and maybe ask your doc about it. His name is Peter Denby. Good luck and if you get it let me know how it work for you
Best,
Mekia

I had really terrible morning sickness..I also figured out it was from my prenatal vitamins..So, I had stopped taking them and started eating all the right foods that contained the necessary nutrients..I say it is a much healthier way than taking a pill that has a combination of all that..My doctor didn't tell me to switch..she prescribed Diclectin..something like Gravol but for pregnant women with bad morning sickness..Also..I ate smaller amounts of food..and didnt mix liquids with my food..ate everything as healthy as possible..

Flintstones are yummy! They have folic acid? I'd rather eat Flintstones than take my horse pill prenatals any day.

I just checked out the site but it doesn't look like this product contains folic acid. I think that's one of the most crucial ingredients to a good prenatal, no?

Even if you take the Pre-Natal vitamins you wont get all the nutrients your body needs. So you have to eat the foods that are good for you and the baby. Most breads have Folic acid. eat a slice of whole wheat bread with it.

I really couldnt ake the pre-natals anymore i felt like crap when i did. So i did what worked for me, And not just for that reason, but I drank it instead of sugar filled juices and sodas. it's just an healthier alternative.
