Ok, so we all know with pregnancy comes a lovely variety of things. One of which is increased discharge. Ugh!!! I seem to have quite a bit. And it is sometimes accompanied by itching and a slight odor. I know gross, right? Does anyone else deal with this? My Dr. hasn't been worried about it, but I think it's gross. Anyone have any remodies?

Heavier discharge is normal in pregnancy, but you shouldn't have itching and a different odor. It sounds like you might have a yeast infection to me (I've had my fair share in my two pregnancies!). I would get checked out by your doctor and see if that isn't what it is. If you do have one you can just get a 7 day kit at Walmart to clear it up. You don't have to spend big $$ on a prescription, just ok it with your doctor that that's what you're going to do to take care of it. Also, getting some Cortizone (sp?) cream to put on the outside can relieve the itching. Yeast thrives in moist, dark places, so after you shower take a blow dryer and (on low and not directly) help dry things better down there and if you wear panty liners, change them often so it stays dry. Good luck- I know it's uncomfortable!

I had the same issue, and during one of my checkups they were doing a routine pap test and found some yeast cells, I did a 7 day (i admit was highly unpleasant but it's over now.) treatment from the drugstore and AMAZING difference! your doctor can just to a very simple swab test I think to diagnose.
