PUPPP SOLUTION
I had it during my first pregnancy and it...well...sucked. To let you know if you get it you're more likely to have a boy! So there's one little tid bit of info that's not so negative.
Okay, solution---HAIR DRYER on warm/hot setting.
Honestly it feels like an orgasm. The little itchy spots release all their hestamine (chemical that makes you itch and makes it feel good when you scratch) in one big blow out. I did it once in the morning, once at night before bed...and occasionally in between if it was necessary.
I worked great. At least I could function.
The other trick is to stay busy. If you don't think about it it's easier.
The only downside I can think of the heat treatment is some said it could dry out the skin/and or cause marks. I didn't have a problem with either.
GOOD LUCK LADIES!!

Your rash is known as the PUPPP rash and is becoming more common for women and has to do with hormone levels. There is a great new product out there called Pregnancy Rash Relief and it is made by a company called Kopec Naturals. I had great results with the remedy, and I have recommended it to my friends and they have had great results too. Good luck.

Hi all,
I am 13 wks pregnant and i was using the Palmer's lotion for stretch marks (the pump bottle) and i developed a severe rash. it's only on my stomach and sides, the only places that i use that lotion. i use Nivea on my arms and legs and they are fine. The OB Dr. prescribed a hydrocortizone cream (not working) cold compresses help and while i'm at work, I dab corn starch over the rash. that helps subside the itching A LITTLE BIT. this is driving me crazy. it is now one big red patch that itches like crazy. i feel like tearing my belly button out. If there are any other solutions-PLEASE SHARE :O)

Hi, Your rash is pretty common these days and I sympathize with the itch. I used this really great stuff called Pregnancy Rash Relief. I bought it from Kopec Naturals online. Oh, and your rash is called PUPPP rash, has to do with elevated hormones and all that. All I know is I was really glad to get relief and have it go away.

I had PUPPP during my pregnancy with my son. I wanted to tell you all that I had a wonderful doctor who had seen several cases of PUPPP. Mine was severe. After trying a few different creams, oatmeal baths, etc., he finally prescribed a dose of steroids. I have to tell you all that it was the ONLY thing that worked. The rash DID NOT go away; however, the ITCHING did. And it was the best relief ever! For those of us who have experienced this rash, you know it is miserable!!! The steroids were an oral pill where you start off taking 8, then reduce by 1 or 2 pills every day. The cream was great, too. So, PLEASE PLEASE talk to your doctor about steroids. They were safe for the baby and safe for me. And it was the ONLY thing that gave me relief. Hope this helps!

Sounds like PUPP... I had it for the last 2 months of my 1st pregnancy. It's terrible... makes the chicken pox seem weak. I've never felt itch that terrible. It was in all my stretch marks the worst. The doctor said it would go away 24 hrs after birth... but for me it didn't! I'm 18 weeks pregnant with my second now and just tonight noticed it appear on my breasts.. I didn't know it could start this early!

When i was pregnant with my first baby, i also got a rash on my belly and it was really itchy and lasted a few weeks. The doctor said it was "pups" it is caused from sensitive skin and high levels of progesterone.
