Unusual Discharge

I am 24 weeks pregnant. Early in the pregnancy I was diagnosed with a Yeast Infection. I treated it with Monostat 3. For a couple of weeks I feel like I may have one again, because I have severe vaginal itching and discomfort. Today I've experienced some sharp vaginal pains and noticed a slight trace of a brownish discharge on my underwear. Does this sound like a possible bacterial infection or something more serious? I am a little scared.

Moomaiden, I haven't had much experience with yeast infections. I have had experience with brown discharge. It was old blood. If that's what it is, it is unlikely something to worry about, but my doctor told me to call any time there was blood just to be sure. So I recommend giving your doctor a call just to be safe. Please let us know how it goes.

I still don't know why I had the tinge of brown discharge (old blood) but only had it the one day. I think the itching is a yeast infection. I treated the itching and discomfort with Monostat 1 and feel a lot of relief. Maybe I was overdoing it. I was working out at the gym 7 days a week and probably pushing myself a little too much. Hearing the brown discharge may be blood was an eye-opener for me. I took a few days to rest and feel much better. I still work out but stop when I feel too tired and skip a couple of days a week.
