Ive been having a LOT of pain in my right lower ribs and sometimes i can feel the baby on them. Im 29 weeks and its been consistant for about 2 months. I read that the baby can pop the ribs out of place or bruise them, but when i told my doctor she just said its normal not to worry and didnt check them at all. Its been getting so much worse, and always in the same spot, should i get a second oppinion or just deal with it?

I know it really hurts, but I can't believe that they could dislocate a rib unless you previously had a serious injury that would have weakened the muscles and ligaments in the area. It should get better when the baby turns over and they're not pushing against them with their head (although then you have to contend with them head-butting your bladder). I've heard if you get down on all fours in the "cat" position it helps to get them into a more comfortable position.

ask your dr to check your gallbladder. it is in the right upper quadrant of your abdomen and many pregnant women get gallstones during pregnancy.

I'm having rib pain but they think it's due to me coughing so hard for the past 2 weeks, my asthma has really been acting up. I'm 29 weeks and due to the asthma, i have to try sleeping sitting up tonite cause it's too painful to sleep on the sides in my ribs. I wake up having asthma attacks.
