Keke your skin is stretching...this causes severe itching later on in pregnancy...mine is just picking up at almost 6 months...use some lotion...and apply it a few times a day this should help keep the itching to a minimum at least

Don't scratch, if u do u will get stretch marks, just rub palmers coco oil, it feels good and helps reduce the risk of stretch marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can itchy skin be caused by progesterone? I have other symptoms too headache, backache, cramps, side aches, sore boobs, nosebleeds. Can these all be caused my progesterone?

It's is very common. DO NOT SCRATCH!. It will leave you plenty of stretch marks if you scratch. I'm trying not to scratch my itchy belly. I know it's hard, but I watched my best friends stretch marks grow even more after she had her 2nd daughter from scratching. Also use almers cocoa butter.

To: Melisa- All of those sypmtoms aren't caused my just your progesterone. They are also cause by your hormones changing so much. I am going through the same thing. Your itchy skin is caused by your stomache skin stretching. It has to adjust. Kinda like when you get a boo-boo and it's healing, so it itches. How far along are you? I'm almost 22 weeks. If you have any more questions and you would like an answer from me you can write me back. I check these forums daily! Good luck, Mommy!!
