hi , i m in the 8th week of pregnancy, and even i feel the pain inthe lower left side of abdomen, specially while getting up from anywhere like sofa etc, i feel sudden pain, ob visit is on fri , anybdy has same experience?

Yes I would say that this is normal. During my first pregnancy I had a slight pain in the lower left abdomen and my ob said it was normal. Now I think I may be pg again and am having the same thing.

I'm five and a half months pregnant, and when I get really bad pains, taking a hot bath seems to help.

I am 6 weeks and I have had pain in my lower left side as well, must just be from the changing hormones we are experiencing.

Hi, I'm in the 9th week and have had twinges like that off and on. Dr. said it was ligaments stretching and not to worry if no spotting. I found laying down helped a lot plus lots of H2O.

I am almost 7 months pregnant, and I too have alot of pain on my left side. I am just sure its ok. But if you are really worried about it, go visit the DR and he/she will reassure you.

Well when I had went to the doctor for the same kind of pain around the area of my right ovary, the doctor had checked me for a syst on my ovary. Come to find out I am pregnant for twins!!!! If I were you I would consult your doctor.

I am 6 months pregnant and just yesterday I started getting pains in my lower left side. I have a Doctor's visit next week and plan on mentioning it then. Happy to hear that it's not just me though.

Dont take a hot bath!!!!!! your not supposed to make you body heat elevate.

Not sure. I am a couple of days late for my period and I am also experiencing pain around both ovaries off and on. I would like to know, is this a sign of pregnancy?

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and am experiencing the same pain....my first dr appt is Monday, I hope all goes well...I had a miscarriage 3 1/2 years ago, and I have a 3 year old son....i don't remember this pain while pregnant with him......

I am 6 months pregnant and am having pain on my left side, its been 2 hours now and it does not go away, I also took tylenol and it doesn't seem to be working. What should I do for this pain

I am just amazed at how many of us have pain on the lower left side! I am 6 wks, and have had persistant, but not intense or intolerable, pain on lower left side for almost two wks. Had a miscarriage in March so of course I'm a bit concerned. Going in for early sonogram next week - maybe they'll find what's causing it.

Please post when you find out what it is. I am also 5 weeks pregnant and searching for the cause of this strange pain on my lower left side!
