Period Like Cramps

I am 6 weeks pregnant and starting right before I was suppose to start my period I started having cramps like normal. I still continue to have they cramps contstantly. The only time they go away is when I lay down but as soon as Im up again they come back. Can anyone tell me if this is normal. I have a 6 year old and I dont remember anything like this?

Wendy...I'm confused just like you. I am 5 weeks and starting last night and somewhat this morning I have noticed AF like cramping (more in my ovaries). I had a mc in June so I am scared. My cramping goes away when I lay down too.

My doctor told me that I was feeling the implantation and not to worry.

I have exactly the same thing. Apparently feeling period like pains is normal for some women but mine have been going on for 2 weeks and I'm getting a bit freaked out...
