You have to be prepared for either outcome. And if you want to be pregnant but end up getting your period, don't let it discourage you. Try and carry the attitude if it happens it happens. I know that helped me when I was trying.
I know a girl who did a few tests that came up negative, even went to her dr. and the dr. said she was not pregnant. Well her daughter is now 9 years old from that "non-pregnancy". It's possible you may not be pregnant but just b/c you feel period pains doesn't mean you aren't. That's normal and sometimes you feel it thru your pregnancy around the time you'd normally get your period. Doing a test is about the only way to find out other than waiting, and waiting can be frustrating. Tests can be costly though so try and be patient and I'd suggest getting the tests where you get two in the box. Good luck to everyone!

Thanks - I did another test this morning. It was also negative. The nurse said that the doctor might want to induce a period, which I'm not comfortable with right now. I think my body will work itself out. It's so hard to wait! But I guess I have no other choice.

Not an answer, but a question. I'm now 9 days late. I have some light brown spotting (nothing like a period, and no real cramps, just back pain). I went off the pill 3 months ago, and have been very regular. I have had 2 neg. tests. I am never late! I am 23, completely healthy, and on no prescrip. meds. I've had tender boobs, urinating a lot, very thirsty, EXHAUSTED, and been moody. I know time will tell, but was wondering if anyone else had these symptoms and what the outcome was.

I'm stressing too because I had my last period on 12/30/05 and haven't gotten my period yet. I've had sharp stomach cramps, frequent urination, fatigue....but the test I took last night was negative! I have period cramps and keep running to the bathroom to see if I got it. Almost 8 days late now!

I had sex three times the past two weeks we protected ourselves with condoms and I dont think any broke...im about 4 days late. I was stressed last week. Now Im stressed because I think I might be pregnant. What do you think.Someone please help!!

I am 6 days late for my period. I was having cramps and everything but nothing came. I did not think i was pregnant because my boyfriend and i use condoms and/or he did not ejaculate inside of me. However, i am pregnant and it showed on the first test i took today. So those of you who are scared and are not sure, just take a drug store pregnancy test and find out. Maybe it will show.

I was so stressed about thinking i might had been pregnant, but I went to play soccer and like 2 hrs later I had blood!! YES IM NOT PREGNANT so those out there who are freaked out b/c they think they might be cuz they are 5 days late dont stress just relax the more you relax the better results youll have!

Not an answer: I just have a question just like everyone else in here. I am now 3 days late and no sign of my period. I did have unprotected sex. I had my last period Jan 4 -7 2006 It is now the 6th of feburary and my periods are always on time no later than the 4th ever! I have been haveing cramping in my lower abdomin and my breast are bigger and sore. I can tell they are bigger I'm a A cup and any change I know. I just don't know what to think I have nausea most of the day and just want to sleep and do nothing. I know you guys are going to say take a pregnancy test. How long should I wait before I do so? had EXACT same symptoms except it was before my missed period...took a test and i was positive (first response))...im now 8 mo pregnant

Question; I am currently 5 days late. I've been experiencing cramping, like my period, on and off roughly 3 days before my period was due and they've continued - sporadically. Recently, they've gotten slightly stronger but I haven't had my period. Cramping prior to my time isn't unusual nor is slightly swollen breasts. However, I am peeing more frequently, my breasts feel larger, I am tired - but nothing new there...and I feel sick in the morning but then it fades as the AM progresses. I've take 2 tests - Clear Blue on the day of and then at day 3...both were negative. I've been under some stress but I've been through worse in recent months. I've never missed a period since I was a kid. When would be a good time to go to the Dr's? On the 10th day? I don't want to go and have a false reading as some ppl here have had. I will keep everyone posted. Cheers.

hey, been reading this site, i went through most of them. I have to say... im really confused :( im about 5 days late now, my breasts hurt and ive been cramping like crazy without any sign of my period :-/ i did have unprotected sex however i was on birth control at the time.. now.. i would love to get a pregnancy test done so i can see if i have something to be worried about.. but i just dont know WHEN i should do it... as well.. i should state that im in a financial bind, i cant afford to take a test and be wrong... granted i will probably do more than one test just to be sure.. but i just dont want to take it too soon.. any suggestions?

i am 5 weeks pregnant and i have period pains still. when do they go away? and is it normal?

i'm two weeks late, almost 17 years old, i've been experiencing nausea, vomiting, back pains, cramping, my breasts are sorta swollen (they're large, its hard to tell), and my nipples hurt like the dickens. the last time i had sex was right after christmas and i've had a period since then. about a month ago, maybe less, there was "contact" "down there" and fluid transfer. I've been to my local teen clinic twice, once for std testing and once for get a prescription for birth control pills, and both times they took my urine for pregnancy tests. the both came up negative. could i still be pregnant? oh, and i've NEVER missed a period since i started getting them, for about 4 or 5 years now

Hi Pamela, I am currently five weeks pregnant with the same symptoms, I did have slight spotting however that has almost gone now.

My doctor was extremely concerned that it could be an ectopic pregnancy and sent me off for an US as well as blood tests checking my levels of HCG.

Fortunately - ectopic's are only a small percentage of pregnancies but I would still check it out with your doctor to be safe.

Mind I still have this ridiculous throbbing in my right hand side - but I saw my baby today, right where it should be..

Well the first day of my last period was 1/16/06 and I had sex while I was most fertile and ovulating 1/28-1/30 and since then. I never have irregular periods and I spotted 2/17-2/19. I wasnt suppose to start my cycle til the 19th!Two weeks prior to the spotting I had headaches, lower back pain, mild nausea, sensitive nose, fatigue,abdomen cramping, odd twinges in breast and stomach (but breast aren't hurting), and just recently mettalic taste in mouth. We are trying for another child, but the last 6 test said negative. Am I too early???Is it all in my head ( I doubt it too many coincidences)????
