I just had my 1st ob appt. today. Im SO tired of no it all people sayin you cant show at 6 weeks so i asked and YES you can. I have a sizable bump and its NOT bloating. Its there 24/7. Its my second baby so that accounts for some of it, and i showed pretty earky with my daughter. Just because you yourself didnt show early DOES NOT mean NO ONE can.

mcbee - June 20th, 2008 11:17 PM

Newbaby, why are we know-it-alls? We are giving our opinions based on our experiences and information that we were given by our doctors. That's what you're doing as well.

FinallyPreggers - June 21st, 2008 8:44 AM

mcbee, please scroll back to your previous posting. "there's no way it is causing your bump" That doesn't sound like an opinion. newbaby and I are two examples (of many I'm sure) that show early. The doctors have confirmed this. Please stop making us feel bad and passing on incorrect information to others. Congratulations newbaby and I hope you don't get too big like me! I can't get comfortable already and I'm not even half done baking this LO.

mcbee - June 21st, 2008 11:33 AM

Finallypreggers, I wasn't even directing my comment to you. Obviously, if you're showing, it's because of special circumstances. Not every woman has large fibroids in her uterus. I was simply irritated because we were all called know-it-alls because we were expressing our OPINIONS. I gave my OPINION that there was no way she was already showing. I hate it when people on here get all high and mighty. Good grief, this is supposed to a happy time for us, and some people have to ruin it.

newbaby2009 - June 21st, 2008 11:43 AM

It isen't an opinion when you say THERE IS NO WAY. Thats like saying we're lying about it. Thanks finally! I got huge with my daughter. They were convinced there was an undetected twin. Im 7 weeks and everyone is already asking when im due.

mcbee - June 21st, 2008 11:45 AM

Oh my goodness. Nobody ever said that either one of you was lying. On my previous post I even said that if you were showing, there were special circumstances. Get over it!

mcbee - June 21st, 2008 11:53 AM

Oh, and by the way, yes it can be an opinion when I say there is no way. If I say THERE IS NO WAY that anybody but the Chiefs will win the superbowl this year, that is an OPINION. I'm a High School Enlgish teacher. Don't try to give me a lesson on opinions.

FinallyPreggers - June 21st, 2008 12:58 PM

Well mcbee, I hate when people get on here and call people liars. This is supposed to be a happy place where we can all enjoy our pregnancies. People like you make it difficult. I cannot stand getting comments about twins and triplets and being huge! (newbaby, my least favorite is that 'undected twin comment lol) I could not stand getting comments about being pregnant before I even was. I was so excited to see this post thinking there were others going through the same thing. Even if some are just bloating. Then someone always comes along to spoil it. Thanks. We appreciate that. Cali, how are you doing? If you are still feeling a bit big, I suggest trying your SO's pants. My dh's pants got me through 2 weeks and then they didn't do up. Maternity pants are super comfortable, so when you do switch, it should be ok!

mcbee - June 21st, 2008 1:12 PM

Once again, I never said you were lying. Go back and read what I wrote - oh, wait, you already have. Did I say you were lying? NO! Oh, and thanks for reiterating my point when I said that this is a place where we can share this happy time and some people come on and ruin it. You decided to take offense to something that was never meant to offend anybody. You got all upset because people said that somebody who is only 6 or 7 weeks pregnant is probably just suffering from some bloating. Nobody said that anybody who says they are already showing is a liar. Newbaby is the one who started the offensive comments when she called other people know-it-alls. You guys just decided to get on a soap box when one wasn't needed. I am not a confrontational person. I simply asked why we were being called names when we were only trying to help.

FinallyPreggers - June 21st, 2008 2:46 PM

"no way it's causing your bump" is the same as "probably just suffering from some bloating"??? Well, at least you are learning. Back to the post... I'm wondering for those of you who were big early, have you stayed big throughout your pregnancies? I'm wondering what my third trimester will be like. newbaby, I'm trying to think of something funny I can say back to people so they know that it isn't nice to comment on my huge belly. Have you thought of anything good?

newbaby2009 - June 21st, 2008 3:29 PM

Hey "english teacher" an opinion is a sentence using 'i think' of 'i feel'. Your statement contained neither. It was simply ypu stating "there was no way" we could be showing. And i nerver called you out as one of the know it alls. So obviously you knew your statement was an unfair one. ANYWAY, finallypreggers, i have told people im not pregnant when they comment on my size. It shuts em up pretty fast. My fiance is a sprint car driver and we are o the road alot. I meet a lot of new people who always have some comment to make. To make matters worse im due Feb 12 and the florida nationals are Feb 1-9. (we live in ohio) So ill be huge, miserable, and i can only imagine the comments.

mcbee - June 21st, 2008 7:18 PM

Go back to school. If I say pink is better than red, then that is an OPINION. No "I think" or "I feel" in that sentence. Whatever, you ladies have nothing better to do than be insulting and crybabies, so I'm over this post.

mcbee - June 21st, 2008 11:43 PM

Way to be a grown up!

newbaby2009 - June 22nd, 2008 11:36 AM

Athenajack - June 22nd, 2008 8:19 PM

omg reading through the spat. I started a bump at 4 weeks, lot bigger now at 7. Most of it is bloating but some of it baby too. Showed really early with #2 ( like at 8) weeks and didn't show till six months with #1. can button some of my pants but really uncomfortable if i do. I'm normally 98 lbs of solid muscle 5 foot 1 and a quarter inches. Now i'm solid muscle except for the extra 8 or 9 pounds in my pelvic region.

Sweet_momi - June 30th, 2009 3:32 PM

I am 7 weeks today with my second baby, and im showing alot. I look like im 4 months pregnant and its not bloating, its there all the time, i cant wear my favorite jeans anymore, i can rarely wear any of my jeans anymore as when i sit down it hurts so bad. So dont feel bad. Ive been showing since i was 3-4 weeks pregnant. Ive got pics from the day i thought i was pregnant... its crazy..
