Hi Ladies....

I have an almost 12 year old this month & a 10 month old. I'm now pregnant 4 weeks. Just found out last saturday. So far so good. No morning sickness. I'm eating more then before, but it's great. I feel good. Let's see within a few more weeks if I feel the sameway. By the way for now they said my due day is December 13,2009.

chelseaholley - April 12th, 2009 7:35 PM

hi mommylove, to find out what week/day you are, you need to count from the first day of your last period. so how far are you?

mommylove - April 12th, 2009 11:34 PM

Hi ladies,
Congrats my life! Chelsea, I am counting from the first day of my last period, March 2nd and that is how I and four websites came up with me being 5w6d today and being due dec 7th. That's why I was asking why and how you are saying you're 6w2d if I am due a day before you. Is that what you dr said and if so based on what info, you're lmp or something else? I'm trying to get into my dr this week, I just really don't want to wait long to see them. When do you find out what day you go Chelsea? Are any of you ladies just dying to get into the 2nd trimester like me? The first couple of weeks are always nerve wracking and I just have so many unanswered questions. Its not like we can feel the baby move and have that to comfort us, ugh, I just can't wait! I'm glad we can all come on here and talk though. Wow, Mylife, I just noticed you said you had a 12 yr old and a 10 MONTH OLD!!! You are going to be busy but it will be nice when the two little ones are 1 and 2, they'll play nicely together and probably be very close. Well ladies I hope to hear from you both soon. ~Brooke~

babydust25 - April 12th, 2009 11:38 PM

well just got my BFP two days ago but have long irregular cycles...should be due sometime Dec..I think..will know for sure Tuesday after I go to the Dr. I feel pretty good so far...eating a lot, VERY gassy, sore bbs and some mild cramping. No morning sickness yet though **fingers crossed**

arc - April 13th, 2009 3:30 PM

My due date is December 16. We were TTC for 18 months so this is very exciting. I haven't felt any morning sickness; however yesterday I developed the worst gas and it's trapped in my guts. It's better today, but I still feel like there is a giant air bubble that won't leave. I hope I don't have to put up with this for nine months!

chelseaholley - April 13th, 2009 7:06 PM

mommylove,

from feb. 28 (the day of my lmp) - april 13 = 45 days, that is 6 weeks and 3 days. when was your lmp?

mommylove - April 14th, 2009 2:20 PM

Hi Ladies,
I see now Chelsea why you are 6w4d today but why then is your due date the day after mine? My lmp was march 2nd so I am 6w1d. Did you go to the doc yet? I can't wait to hear back from you on how that goes. I'm glad to see some new mommies on here! Babydust25 let us know how your appt went. Arc I am so glad you guys got your BFP, you must be so excited! That's how long my friend was ttc and then her next pg the same time but on her third she got pg without even trying. Well I just wanted to check in with you all and I'll keep hoping and praying for all of us that in December we will all have healthy happy newborns!!! ttys, Brooke

marie - April 14th, 2009 2:25 PM

Hi Ladies...

Yay more december mommies... BROOKE~ I just got back from my doctor's appointment. So far, everything looks great she said. She saw the sac and an embryo....yay!!! But I still don't want to get my hopes that high..just like you, I'm kinda nervous. But I am hoping for the best. I am going back on the 23rd for another scan and hopefully this time we would see the heartbeat.

chelseaholley - April 14th, 2009 5:02 PM

Im not sure how that works, my doctor told me that my due date is dec 8, also on the pregnancy calculators it says that. i have a 31 day cycle, that may have something to do with our different dates.

also, my ultrasound was booked for this friday!! im so excited to see the little bean!! this is the farthest ive ever gone in a pregnancy and its so exciting because i actually FEEL pregnant (my hcg always stayed really low so maybe thats why i never had pregnancy symptoms). well, wish me luck! hope all of you are feeling great! its crazy, ive been trying to have a baby for 5 year, ive had 7 miscarriages and an ectopic. now im finally pregnant with a normal pregnancy and im TERRIFIED! my husband and i are so close and we have such a good life, im scared about adding another person to the mix. i know its normal to be nervous and i am equally ecstatic, maybe its just the hormones lol. any one else feeling a little terrified?

chelseaholley - April 15th, 2009 1:07 PM

HAHAHA! I found this on another pregnancy form and thought that you girls would love it!

The Ten Commandments of Pregnancy

1. The appropriate response to a couple telling you they are having a baby is 'Congratulations' with enthusiasm. Any other response makes you a jerk.

2. Through the wonders of science, we now know that babies are made ONLY by the mother and father- not grandparents. Unless the baby is in your uterus, or you are the man that helped put it there, you may not ever use the phrase 'my baby'

3. On the same note, unless you made the baby as defined in #2, the pregnancy, birth and the raising of the child are not about you. You do not have input. No one wants to hear your opinion unless they ask for it.

4. The body of a pregnant woman should be treated the same as any other body. You would not randomly touch someone's stomach if they were not pregnant, nor would you inquire into the condition of their uterus, cervix or how they plan to use their breasts. Pregnancy does not remove all traces of privacy from a woman.

5. Likewise, no woman wants to hear comments on her weight- ever. A pregnant woman does not find it flattering that you think she is about to pop, must be having twins, looks swollen or has gained weight in her face. Telling her she looks too small only makes her worry that she is somehow starving her baby. Making such comments invite her to critique your physical appearance and you may not act offended. The only acceptable comment on appearance is 'You look fabulous!'

6. Most of us have picked up on the fact that summer is hot. We are hot every summer when we are not pregnant. We don't need you to point out that we will be miserably hot before the baby comes.

7. There is a reason that tickets to Labor & Delivery are not yet sold on Ticketmaster. Childbirth is actually not a public event. It may sound crazy, but some women really do not relish the idea of their mother, mother-in-law or a host of other family members seeing their bare butt or genitals. Also, some people simply feel like the birth of their child is a private and emotional moment to be shared only by the parents.

8. Like everything else in life, unless you receive an invitation, you are not invited. This includes doctor appointments, ultrasounds, labor, delivery, the hospital and the parents' home. You do not decide if you will be there for the birth or if you will move in with the new parents to 'help out'. If your assistance is desired, rest assured that you will be asked for it.

9. If you are asked to help after the birth, this means you should clean up the house, help with cooking meals, and generally stay out of the way. Holding the baby more than the parents, interfering with breastfeeding and sleeping schedules and making a woman who is still leaking fluid from various locations lift a finger in housework is not helping.

10. The only people entitled to time with the baby are the parents. Whether they choose to have you at the hospital for the birth or ask you to wait 3 weeks to visit, appreciate that you are being given the privilege of seeing their child. Complaining or showing disappointment only encourages the parents to include you less.

Hi Ladies!!!
This is so great Chelsea, I am going to tell everyone I know this and maybe even print it out so I can pass it out to grandparents, strangers, and other realitives!!! Thank you so much for posting that, I needed a good laugh today. Also I think your cycle length does have to do with it so that makes sense. And I hear ya about being terrified, I think to some extint we all feel that, especially when we have tried so long for a baby or lost some. It makes me nervous because of the mc's I've had and right now I don't have many symptoms, only emotional and tired. Actually I had sore bbs but now they barely hurt they are only full?. So I know what you mean but I just keep reminding myself that so far nothing is going wrong and that must mean all is well, but fingers crossed for sure. And that is so great tht you will get to see your lil bean on Friday, let us know asap how it goes.
Marie,
I am so glad that your u/s looked great, that is a good sign and I think next time you will see the heartbeat! I really hate that we have to worry about our pg's, it takes away from the specialness of it all. It is comforting though to be able to talk on hear with other ladies who are going through the same thing.
Well, I'll keep checking back and writing as much as possible. I tell ya, I'm getting addicted to this site though!!! I guess I'll ttys ladies! ~Brooke~

i am going to start purging my closet and start buying maternity clothes...

i hope everyone is feeling okay!!

mommylove - April 17th, 2009 9:57 PM

Hi,
I am so glad that your hcg levels are looking good. I hear ya about looking more preggo early! I have got to go buy pants this weekend for work beacuse mine are cutting into my tummy and I know its also from bloating. I want to tell the whole world but am still worried, I just can't wait to hear the heartbeat and get well into my 2nd trimester. Well I hope to talk to you all soon. Brooke

arc - April 18th, 2009 7:14 PM

I haven't told anyone at work, either. We're waiting until the first major dr appt (May 7) to tell our families - just to make sure that everything is indeed working the way it's supposed to - and then I'll wait until the 2nd trimester to tell every one else. I'm slightly jealous that you guys already feel like you look pregnant. For some reason I'm so excited to buy maternity clothes! It must be because I've been waiting so long and I would love an excuse to let it all hang out and not have to suck in my tummy all the time :)

tattoomommy - April 18th, 2009 8:11 PM

Hi mommy-to-bes!
This is my first child and also my first post on the board ;) I found the "December babies" board and I just had to post...my due date is December 12th and I am soo excited! Just went to garage sales today and got a few newborn items. Does anyone else "know" what they are having? Since I first saw the positive sign, I "knew" I was having a boy!
And how are the husbands/boyfriend handling the mood swings if you ladies have them? I feel like my boyfriend hates me sometimes when I am raging so I feel horrible..I have begun to try to keep my cool as much as possible, but other times I just want to scream at him "YOU TRY BEING PREGNANT!!" lol. But I love him of course..just hope he keeps loving me lol.

hopeful24 - April 18th, 2009 9:09 PM

Hey there girls. I am just seeing if this is working.
