Hey there girls. I am just seeing if this is working.

hopeful24 - April 18th, 2009 9:11 PM

Hi. I posted once and it didn't post. I am due on December 17th. Ever since I found out I was pregnant I have been having brown spotting. They did a quant. HCG on my last week and my numbers were doubling like they should so I have to go in for an ultrasound this Wednesday. I am terrified that I am going to miscarry. I have a beautiful 15 month old son and I never had an bleeding with that pregnancy. Where is everyone from?

mommylove - April 19th, 2009 12:05 PM

Hi Everyone,
Arc, I know what you mean about wanting to wait and tell. I feel that way too. I've only told my best friends. And don't worry, you'll look preggo soon enough and at about 8 months you'll wish you could wear your pre-preg clothes. Its crazy, we want to be pg so badly and then at the end we can't wait for it to be over.
Tattoomommy,
Congrats! I also "know" that I am having a boy. With my first and second I knew what I was having and I was right both times. I've got one of both already so it doesn't matter to me what I have but I just feel like its a boy this time. I too am having some mood swings and I feel bad about them and try to control it but it doesn't always work. I hope you don't have any worries about your relationship because being preggo you already have enough. More than likely it will just take some time for him to adjust, especially if its his first. I feel its harder on us but do believe its also hard on them as well. We feel attached instantly most times and for most guys it takes the baby in their arms to feel that way. Money seems to always be their biggest worry. Silly, most times. Life generally works out well, you can't plan everything out.
Hopeful24,
I think its a good sign that your numbers are doubling. I know plenty of people who have brown spotting and all is well. I had some spotting every Friday for some reason with my dd for like 5 weeks in a row and it was brown. My dr's said it was old blood and not to worry since my numbers were doubling and we had seen the heartbeat at all the u/s. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and all of us on here that we all have healthy, happy, intelligent and beautiful newborns in December! Let us know how the u/s goes. I'm from North Carolina by the way.
Well ladies please keep posting. I love this site. TTYS.
Brooke

hoping#2 - April 19th, 2009 8:59 PM

My due date is December 22nd!!! I'm so excited. We just found out friday. I'll be calling my doctors office tomorrow to make an appointment. We are really nervous. We had a miscarriage a few months ago so we are praying everything will go fine this time.

arc - April 19th, 2009 11:24 PM

Congratulations hoping#2! We'll send great wishes your way for your new bean.

Hopeful24 - I've read that spotting is common. I'm sure you'll feel better after your u/s on Wednesday.

I don't know what I'm having. I'd like to have a girl since there are already a lot of boys in our family, but I haven't had that "hunch" yet.

I'm from Colorado. Can I ask how old you ladies are? I'm going to be 38 when the baby comes and I found out that if you're over 35 with the first baby, it's called a geriatric pregnancy. I sure don't feel geriatric!

YAY!! my ultrasound was today, i was SOOO nervous because ive had 7 miscarriages and 1 ectopic, ive never even been pregnant enough to see something on the US! well, i saw my little bean, all 9mm of him! the heart rate was 144, everything looked perfect! i couldnt help it, when i saw the little flicker on the screen i went to tears. what a wonderful experience. hope all of you are doing great, we have such a long way to go!!!

mommylove - April 22nd, 2009 8:27 PM

Oh Chelsea, that is so AWESOME!!!!! I had my fingers crossed for you today and couldn't wait to find out what happened. I would have cried too. I can't imagine how nervous you must have been. I've had m/cs but not 7 and that just tells me how brave and courageous you must be. I hope we all get wonderful u/s soon.
Welcome to the board Hoping#2 and Roccosmama! It's so exciting that December is filling up!
Hopeful24, what is going on with you? Have you been back to the doc? Let us know asap.
Amy, you are not a geriatric! They are so silly with those age groups in pregnancy. I'm 27 by the way and just keep in mind that more and more women these days are having children well into their 40s. Just remember how fortunate you are and we all are to be having precious babies.
I can't wait to hear back from you ladies, I love being able to share this pregnancy. Lets keep praying for healthy little ones come December!

i just got back from my ultrasound appointment today. so far so good. i saw my babie's heartbeat. it was so tiny but it was flickering ... yey!! i am 7w1d today. the doctor only gave me a measurement for CRL which was 4.7m.m. i have another ultrasound appointment on may 4. i hope this was turns out okay too!!!

amy, i'm 35 and i will be 36 once i give birth. they consider me at-high-risk. but just like what brooke said, there are more women who are now giving birth pass the age 35!!!

hopeful24 - April 23rd, 2009 9:53 PM

Hey girls, sorry I didn't post yesterday. My ultrasound went really well. We saw the little peanut in the uterus and there was a tiny flicker. Everything was measuring right on. It was so good to hear that. I am still a nervous wreck. I probably will be again until week 12. I passed a huge milestone today...I have not thrown up yet. My first pregnancy I threw-up for 39 weeks, nine times a day. So I am pretty stoked that I have made it this far.

Chelsea I am so glad to hear all is well!! That is so exciting.

I am 27 and from KS. Talk to you all soon.

chelseaholley - April 24th, 2009 10:37 PM

yay marie and hopeful24! mommylove, are you going to have an early ultrasound?

so are any of you thinking about the birth yet? i have always wanted to do a home birth and i think that if all goes well over the next few weeks ill find a midwife and go that route. are any of you having a first child?

mommylove - April 25th, 2009 12:57 PM

OMG, I just wrote this really long post and it got deleted!!! UGH! Anyway, Hi all. I'm sorry I haven't been able to post but I've been really busy. But yay, I had a u/s and me amd my dh got to see our lo and it is measuring perfectly and has a heartbeat of 164!!! We were so happy. We went and got a gender predictor kit called intelligender and it said we are having a boy which is what I thought but of course we will wait to have that confirmed later, no painting the nursery just yet. Chelsea, I am having my third child and will use the same midwives as last time but I do deliver at a hospital. I would love a home birth but I'm too much of a high stress person to try that, lol. How is everyone doing and were did some of you go? Please check in and update us on your pg's. And has anyone realized how busy Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be this year? I'm trying to make a list and have as much done as possible before the birth. Plus my dh was laid off last August and so now we have reversed roles and he stays at home like I used to and takes care of the kids, so I am going to have to really work hard these next eight months and make as much $ as possible so that I can take three months off with my lo. I'm an insurance agent so no paid maternity leave for me, if I don't work we don't have money, the one downside to being self-employed. How about the rest of you, what do you all do? Well I really look forward to hearing back from you all and I'll be sure to post after my next dr app this Tuesday, nothing wrong just that they are keeping a real close watch on me because of the mc's which I am not complaining about since I will take every chance they'll give me to know my lil bean is growing and thriving! Well I'll ttys ladies.
Brooke
