Vsetter, congrats sounds like things are going really well.

lyleesmama, happy birthday, one day early. I hope you can manage to have a good time with your friends. I know how you feel about the no energy, I'm tired all the time and having a 2 year old around doesn't help any. I haven't been feeling too depressed, i think i'm just too busy. I'm sure it will pass soon.

Welcome Runnershirl, wow it sounds like you have been through a lot to get to this point. That is good that your hcg is doubling. I hope your herniated disks don't give you too much more trouble, you've got a long way to go.

I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first child. According to online calendars, my expected due date is between April 15 and 17. I am so excited but also scared, but the unknown is also scary. I haven't experienced any morning sickness yet. I am having horrible indigestion and breast discomfort. My first Dr. appt is September 22 because the Dr. I am seeing likes to do an ultrasound on your first visit.

vsetter - August 25th, 2009 9:41 AM

I have 4 more weeks until my next u/s. I'm going to go crazy. I thought that I would relax after the first one, but instead I'm very worried that something is going to happen between now and then. How do I get over these past miscarriages??

Also -- Is anyone cold? I am freezing cold all of the time. I am currently in fleece pants, slippers, and an oversized sweatshirt. Still chilly. It is 70 degrees in my house. This is crazy! At work, I wear a short sleeve shirt and constantly have goosebumps! AHHHH...

Krissy25 - August 25th, 2009 5:12 PM

Yeah we've graduated, we're not the newest kids on the block anymore. I see a May mommies thread is being started.

Frstnonly, welcome. Is this your first child? Sorry to hear about the indegestion, I haven't had any yet but i know as i get further along I'll probably get it as i had it pretty bad with my first.

Vsetter, I'm not sure there is any way to really get past it. It's hard not to worry but try and take comfort that your baby reached a big milestone and the chances of losing him/her go down greatly. I'm sure everything will be fine and that 4 weeks is going to go by fast. I've been cold too but it's kind of crazy b/c it's been much cooler than normal here and the nights have actually been a little chilly. My biggest thing right now is i've been so tired. I'm glad my dd still takes naps b/c on my days off i can take a nap while she is napping too.

lyleesmama - August 25th, 2009 5:42 PM

Hi everyone!!! Well I had my ultra sound and dr app yesterday. I'm 8weeks 3 days today. I'm due apr 3 and everything looks good on that end. They t having me do my glucose test in three weeks though. Wiyh my last baby she had shoulder dystoria and was stuck and was 8 lbs so with that they wany to watch me for diabetes. So I guess I'm the first one out of us to drink that nasty stuff. Usually its done at 28 weeks but they are worried about me. So that is kinda not good news but atleast its getting dealt with early enough to fix it now I guess huh? Well the moring sickness is getting easier to deal with now so I'm getting use to it.

The depression is still really here but I took some good advice from you guys ob here and I'm getting myself out there do do things so it helps. Some days are worst then others though. Well lylee needs to be changed and I'm at a drs office, so I gotta go. Talk to you guys later

vsetter - August 26th, 2009 10:26 AM

I had some spotting this morning. I know that can be normal, but I'm a nervous wreck. Doctor doesn't want to see me unless it continues for 24hrs (or gets worse). In that case, she will re-do the ultrasound. Even if it stops, I might suggest a HCG blood test. Something for reassurance...or not. With spotting, I don't think I can emotionally make it to my next regular appt (sept 21). I can't believe that I might be losing another one.

Krissy25 - August 26th, 2009 11:14 PM

Vsetter, I'm so sorry to hear about the spotting, hopefully it's nothing. I think that is a good suggestion to ask for some hcg tests to make sure your levels are still rising.

We're getting ready to go on a trip tomorrow after work. Ever since the begining of August we have been away almost every weekend. I'm excited about seeing family up in Chicago this weekend, but honestly i'm tired of all the packing and unpacking. We don't get a break labor day weekend too, we are going to an out of town wedding. I hate to say it but it's kind of making me bitchy to my dh. I get stressed out trying to make sure we have everything we need then my dh will say something like "let's have sex" Ugh! I'm too tired plus the house is a mess, plus my dd won't let my dh put her down for bed, so on top of everything else i have to do that too. I swear there is something wrong with men's brains sometimes. Sorry i'm venting, but i had to get it out.

gbsmom - August 26th, 2009 11:29 PM

Vsetter, I can imagine it's hard to be experiencing the same symptoms this time that you had with your m/c. If it makes you feel any better, I want to tell you that I had the exact same symptoms with my baby who survived as I did with the baby I lost. Exact same symptoms. So, just because you're having symptoms you had last time doesn't mean you'll have the same outcome. I know it's hard, but just keep reminding yourself of that: "Same symptoms, new outcome, same symptoms, new outcome!" Are you feeling it yet? Hang in there!

tommys mummy - August 27th, 2009 5:54 PM

hi ladies, im pregnant with my second baby whos due on april the 5th, im so excited. this pregnancy feels soooooooo different to the first

frstnonly - August 27th, 2009 9:08 PM

Congrats Tommys mummy!

vsetter - August 27th, 2009 9:44 PM

Thanks gbsmom -- got it "same symptoms, new outcome". I'm working on it.

My spotting has stopped. It actually didn't last very long at all, but I am still seeing some beige color (and a little bit of mucus) when I wipe (nothing on the pantyliner). Sorry, I am sure that is more info than you signed up for. I called the doc this morning; they have scheduled an u/s for me for tomorrow at 3pm. It has only been a week since my last u/s so I feel a little silly, but at least we can look for a heartbeat again and compare the size. A week's growth at this stage should be pretty significant, right? If nothing else, it should ease my mind (one way or the other).

lyleesmama - August 27th, 2009 10:07 PM

So I have a personal question for you guys. If you wanna answer great, if not great. I'm havin a hard time havin sex with my dh. It is grossin me out. Wheb he finishes is what grosses me out. I feel bad. But lsst night I actually threw up. Maybe its cuz I'm sensitive. Anyone else goin through it

vsetter - August 28th, 2009 5:09 PM

We are okay! There was a strong heartbeat and growth since last week. Sigh...

Same symptoms, new outcome...

Krissy25 - August 29th, 2009 9:14 AM

Hi Tommys mommy welcome and congrats. I was wondering how this pregnancy has been different so far? I'm having my second too and so far my morning sickness has been pretty good, nothing like my first. It makes me a little nervous but overall i feel pretty confident that things are going well.

Vsetter i'm so happy it turned out to be nothing. I would have been very nervous too. I'm glad they got you in for an u/s.

Lyleesmama, i'm not having that exact same problem but i find that i'm not in the mood, much to my dh's dismay. I'm just so tired all the time.

dixie78 - August 29th, 2009 2:14 PM
