First of all...Congrats TracieLee and Tlee and TurnerBabyCraze!!!

Needhelp08....I'm SO glad to hear that everything is okay...and I totally agree that it's frustrating when you go to have a sono and the tech won't show you the screen and no one's telling you what's up! I'm just glad that it turned out okay. And a friend of mine just had twins (boy/girl) on Mother's day and at her first sonogram they saw only one sac, the didn't see both until she was about 12 weeks...so who knows! ;-)

And to all those who are nervous...I feel ya...every time I wipe I think I'm gonna see blood, but nothing. I'm just trying to not let myself get worked up. I mean, I started bleeding three times with my daughter (who is 7 months now) and nothing came of it, just a little blood. So, I'm trying not to let my mind run away with me.

As for me...I see the doc tomorrow because I'm not actually sure how far along I am. I have had to light spotty periods since I quit breastfeeding and June's was a no show. Also, I've been feeling fetal type movements for a few weeks now...even before I tested and since we weren't trying, I know it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me. These movements are just so similar to when i was pg with my daughter, so that is actually why I tested before I even missed my period and got a BFP. Honestly it's probably just pregnancy gas that I don't normally get, but I'm curious to see how far along I actually am.

Well, take care of yourselves ladies and CONGRATS!

I meant TWO light spotty periods! LOL!

ecstaticmommy - June 17th, 2009 6:12 PM

Hello! Just came back from my first appointment yesterday and they didn't find anything in the uterus at all - no sac/yolk/fetal pole. I know I ovulate late so dr. mentioned that it was too early and they took my bloodwork. Have to go back on Friday for 2nd bloodwork but I am very worried something is wrong! Had symptoms like sore bb, heartburn and mild stretching of uterus but I dont feel pregnant anymore. Can't stop thinking about it.

MomNLove - June 17th, 2009 10:32 PM

Hi ecstaticmommy...

When was the first day of your last period and when do you normally ovulate in your cycle? It is very likely that it is way too soon to see anything, and don't worry about your lack of symptoms, mine are coming and going as well. Will you find out what your hcg levels were from your blood work before friday? I know that when they did mine with my last pregnancy, they had the information back the next day. Maybe you can call tomorrow and see if they have your results from the first test. I'm so sorry you're feel worried, but the best thing for you and your baby right now, is to just relax. Talk to your baby and tell him/her that everything is going to be okay and that they aren't going anywhere. That may sound silly but I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and when I even thought I might be miscarrying I started to cry and freak out and I got so worked up that I made myself sick and then i miscarried. But with my daughter (who is 7months now), I started bleeding three times, but i refused to become afraid and I just relaxed, took deep breaths and told her that everything was going to be okay and that she wasn't going anywhere and three times the bleeding stopped and everything was indeed okay. I'll say a prayer for you tonight. Try and get some rest.

MomNLove, your words comforted me very much. I am a natural worrywart and I know I can be my own worst enemy. LMP was on May 7th and I usually ovulate late. This month I ovulated on Day 19 or 20 and I had some spotting day 25 which I never spot between cycles. I will call tomorrow to find out my HCG levels and in the meantime I have been doing exactly what you said - telling my baby that everything is okay and trying to relax. Harder said than done but I will update as soon I find out some information. Congratulations on your DD! Thank you again for your kind words.

Hi Ecstatic, I hope that you were able to get some rest. And yes you are right that calming the anxious heart is easier said than done, but oh so important. So, when did you get a positive pregnancy test? Was it a strong dark line that came up fast or a faint line? That could be an indicator that your in the very early stages of your pregnancy. With my little girl we could see the sac at about 7 weeks, but I didn't have anything earlier than that.

I went to the doctor today and they said I'm 8weeks or I'm 5 weeks 4days and measuing at 8 weeks. So, they want to do an u/s next week. so, I'm just waiting for the ultra sound tech to call me to set up the appointment. I'm excited to know just how far along i truly am and why I might be measuring 2.5 weeks ahead.

Make sure to update when you get your test results. Take care, hun.

Hi Ladies.
I just found out this morning - after one ectopic in December and one misscariage in April that i am 4 weeks pregnant.STRESS!! i just want to know some thing. i have booked a shoulder massage at 12pm today and want to know if its safe for me to have this massage?? please help and congrats to you all on your news!! :)

MomNLove - June 19th, 2009 8:04 AM

Hello Anj3131, congrats on your new little bundle, and I'm so sorry to hear about your past strugges. As for the shoulder massage, check with your doctor if your truly concerned. But I had a full body massage at 16 weeks with my dauther and I was fine. They just had me lay on my side. However, I'm gonna have a fully body massage again today (my husband bought it for me for mother's day) and being that I'm so early, I probably won't lay on my side. Just make sure to tell them that you are pregnant. Enjoy that massage.

JJ5235 - June 19th, 2009 6:17 PM

HI Jesickad I am due Feb 8th as well!! Congrats! How is everyone feeling? I have super sore breasts, feeling morning sickness and very tired. I go to the dr on Monday for an ultrasound. I am so excited and cant wait. About an hour ago I went to the bathroom and had brown discharge which freaked me out but I feel ok and the same thing happened when I was pregnant with my son so I am trying not to freak out. How is everyone else doing?

jesickad. - June 19th, 2009 8:52 PM

fairly miserable but its going to be well worth it. i just cant seem to shake this 'all day' sickness. its like ive had a hangover all week! as far as ive heard, this is a good sign. *keeping my fingers crossed*
i also have an ultrasound on monday. hopefully all is well. good luck :)

Hey does anyone know if getting a really positive test on the day of your missed period could be a sign of twins or just a high HCG count?

MomNLove - June 21st, 2009 7:39 PM

Hey Turner...I got a VERY DARK bfp with my daughter 2 days after my missed period at the end of the day (so not even first morning urine) and it came up BEFORE the control line, so it was super fast and I was only having one. My girlfriend just had twins and she instantly got a super dark positive at 4dpo so she had just implanted and was already registering that much hcg because of the twins. I thought my positive with my daughter could also mean twins too, but just turns out I had TONS of hcg...I was already at 3400 by week 5. So, I'm not discounting that it could be twins, but from my own experience it was just a high hcg count. Congrats!

anj3131 - June 22nd, 2009 3:50 AM

Hi Ladies...guess what. I did a pg test on Friday and it was possitive. I have had the bloods done and HCG levels tested with another blood test done 48 hours later and i got the news this morning that all is looking good. I know its still early days but i know it will work this time!! I am so excited. one question though...is it normal to feel light headed at times even though i have eaten?? app with Gynie is on 2 July when i should be around 6 weeks. wish me luck.

MomNLove - June 22nd, 2009 8:48 AM

CONGRATS ANJ3131!!!! And as for being light headed...I'm light headed all the time and was with my daughter too. I have low hemoglobin and need to take extra iron daily. No worries though, it can be a normal part of pregnancy. Congrats again!

ecstaticmommy - June 23rd, 2009 1:29 PM

Hello, just got a call back from the doc and my levels have increased which is great news! 1st bloodwork, my hcg was 1494 and was 4306 48 hours later! My progesterone was 13.9 but decreased to 12.3 - should i be worried about the decrease? My next appointment has been scheduled for the 13th. I just went to my first appointment too early I guess but I am still worried anyway!
