Hi there, i am nearly 5weeks pregnant with my second, my son was born last July and due to complications he was born 9weeks and 1 day early by emergency C, my question is for those women out there who have have C-sections, did you find you had shooting pains in your scar, intermittant pain but ouch never the less? is it due to muscles stretcing ang and nerve ending do you htink or is it sometyhing else? sorry for rambling! lol thanks in advance :o)

Hey Karen, I had that same question. I popped in on the c-section board and asked them and they said it was normal. I had those pains when I was about 5-7 weeks pregnant. I am13 weeks and 3 days now and I haven't had anymore. I think it must be some stretching going on. You just feel it more there b/c your nerve endings are all messed up. At least that's my opinion. :)

All three of my kids were c-section babies and I had that type of pain with babies # 2 and 3. I think it's normal and I had no complications from it at all :-)

I find that my scar burns quite often. I can feel the tissue stretching and it is quite uncomfortable. I am 9 weeks with my 3rd. My first two were c-sections. I have a question....How many c-sections will doctors normally allow you to have. I have been told no more than 3, but I see that other ladies have had more than that?...Not a big deal, just curious.

Pearl, I have heard that you don't want to do more than 5. At least that is what a friend said her doctor told her after her 5th c-section. Me personally, I am having my tubes tied after this one because this baby will be #3 c-section. I don't want to chance it. Then again, my uterus tore with my first. Karen, Yes...I too agree that those pains are normal. I have had them as well!
