So far I've been VERY fortunate and I know it- symptoms aren't too bad, no spotting or cramping, and had a u/s at 7 wks which showed a hearbeat. So why am I so scared that I'll m/c? This is my first so I don't have any history. I was all scared that my appt last week would go badly, I was excited when it didn't, but 24 hrs later, Im convinced that my next appt. (at 11 wks) will be bad. My dr. did say I was measuring at 6wks 1 day but he wasn't worried- that of course isn't helping me feel better. Thanks for letting me vent, ladies- just wondering if anybody else out there is or has been completely paranoid (for no reason!) and what you're doing/what you did about it?

I'm right there with ya!! This is my first, don't have bad symptoms and am now 13 weeks. Had 1st u/s at 12 weeks and all was great. All blood work has been good too. But for whatever reason, I'm still panicked. My next u/s isn't until 20 weeks (ahhhh!!) so I'm worried. I go to the dr. again on the 28th of this month and they'll use the Doppler to hear the heartbeat, but I'd feel more comfy if I SAW the baby again. I feel like I want an u/s every week just to calm myself! Anyway, you and I just need to chill. If everything has been OK so far, there's no reason for us to believe it won't continue that way. Good luck!

I think everyone gets that scared. I was SO paranoid that I was going to m/c because of the odds, I had never been preg before so I didn't have a reason to worry, but I did and it drove me nuts. haha. Now I'm at 13 weeks also and everything has been fine so far, so I'm past the worrying stage... for now. I have a doppler at home that I rented and can hear/time the heartbeat whenever I am feeling uneasy.

Just read some threads and you will soon realize you are not alone.
We all worry like crazy...its so hard to believe you are pg and that little bean in there is okay, when you cant SEE it yet.
So hang in there. and try to relax and not think about the bad stuff in between appts.

Welcome to motherhood, duckie. You will worry constantly for the rest of your life... :-) I still worry and I'm 14w1d. I've seen the baby about 5 times, no spotting, still having m/s and yet I still worry that something's wrong. Like 3 weeks ago I started taking blood pressure meds again and now I've worried myself sick that it's going to harm the baby in some way. I know it won't because I took it during my last pregnancy, but still the paranoia is there.
