Hi. I'm in my 2nd Pregnancy, I am 7 weeks and 5 days, and I am craving Salt like no other. But my husband will NOT let me eat it. Have any of you ever craved salt?? I mean I just want salt on ice, and that's all I ask for lol. Please someone tell me I'm not crazy1

I wanted salt with my first pregnancy (boy) and Quizno's Mesquite Chicken subs with my second (boy). This time around I want sweets, especially donuts....wonder if it's a girl?

An old friend of mine craved salt like crazy when she was pregnant with her little girl. She thought it was because she was a smoker before pregnancy for some reason but who knows. I'm the opposite...I need PEPPER on everything!

With my first pregnancy (and somewhat with this one), I could not eat enough salt, especially early on!

I used to eat a jar of pickles by myself and ask for extra salt on my margaritas, before i got pregnant. Now, all i want is sweets, which is so weird to me cause i was never too much into sweets or deserts :)
Your husband is doing a good thing not letting you get your salt. Salt and pregnancy are not going well together, so you should really watch it. Salt causes serious disease preclampsia. Then again, not enough salt can cause really bad swelling! so, everything should be taken in moderation.
