First Prenatal Visit

I went to my family doctor at 5 weeks to confirm my pregancy. No blood or urine tests were done. By the time my first appoitment with an obstetrician comes along, I'll be 15 weeks pregnant. Is this too long to wait? I'll be getting my blood work done before then.
