cleaning is ok, try to use a neutral cleaner tho (windex, fantastic) things without a harsh smell. The harsher the smell, the worse it is. and make sure the area is very well ventilated when you do. Perfume and hairspray are ok, as long as you use a non aerosol spray. My doctor told me, if the smell gets to you, get out, otherwise, do what you normally do and just don't overdue it.

What about aerosol? Is that really bad?? I use aerosol!!

Damage to the baby using these products are most likely to occur during the first trimester, when development is in the most critical stages. Use only what you need to get the job done, and open up your windows for optimal ventilation. As long as your not sticking your nose in the bottle and inhaling, you should be fine. Let your hubby or boyfriend do the cleaning that requires the harsh chemicals, just to be on the safe side. :o)

aerosol cans contain chemicals which are not only harmful to people in general, but are bad for the environment. Most brands offer a pump spray as well.

What about Wallflowers--you plug them in and they emit a fragrance...bad? These are things that I didn't even think about until now!!

Just keep them to a minimum. Don't keep them in every room, and definately NOT in your childs room. With the diaper-stench, it's hard not to use them, but the plugs-ins (and free-standing one's) are better than a spray or mist kind as they are very easily inhailed by your child and their tini-tiny lungs.
