I'm 11 weeks pregnant and barely had any change in breast size. Weeks ago, my breasts felt tender (only for a few days) but now the tenderness is COMPLETELY gone. I read that loss of breast tenderness/soreness and nausea (which I still suffer from) could be a sign of miscarriage. I really hope everything is okay. I’d appreciate hearing from mothers/mothers-to-be whose breast tenderness faded during the early stage of pregnancy. May I know how your pregnancy went / is going? Thanks in advance for your input!

Mine hurt at first too, but they are feeling so much better now. Not hurting, not itching. I'm 13 weeks and, no, loss of symptoms does not automatically mean miscarriage. I feel great 97% of the time. 2% I'm tired and the other 1% (on a rare occassion) I'm sick to my stomach. But that's normally triggered by waiting too long to eat. Basically, my fault. Don't worry until there's a real reason to worry. Some women never even have a symptom.

My breats were very tender from about 5weeks, but they didn't change in size much.
I was also very sick, but then at 10 weeks, my breast tenderness stopped, and the sickness stopped too....i was really worried, but i have since heard my babies heartbeat (at 11 weeks with my own doppler). I'm 13 weeks now.
My advice is to call your midwife and ask to hear your baby, it will ease your mind.
On the other hand, some mothers cannot hear the heartbeat untill much later depending on where the baby is in the womb.
It's a very worrying time, the best you can do is think positive and keep happy for the baby.

Around 9 - 11 weeks, your HCG hormone levels peak and then start to decrease. This is why a lot of people say that their symptoms disappear around this time. It is not a sign of miscarriage. I had the same thing at 9 weeks and now I am 17 weeks.

I'm happy to hear everyone's doing great!Thank you, all, for your reassurance. Funny how I want some ot the symptoms to disappear (specially morning sickness) yet worry something's wrong when they do.

My breasts are not as tender as before either. They are still slightly but not nearly as much! Don't worry yourself too much! Good luck

Hello. I am finally pregnant and have a question about my breasts. Yesterday they were extremely sore. Today they are not really sore at all. Is this normal. I am just at about 5-6 wks. HCG normal on blood test on Tues. and Progesterone was 8.88 should have been 10. Is it normal for the breasts to be sore one day and not sore the next? Please help. So worries about M/C again.

My breast soreness and occassional nausea seemed to stop around 9 weeks. the doctor said its completely normal as this is the 'honeymoon period'. He said this is when most women will start to feel great again and may not even 'feel' pregnant for a few months.

I am 9 weeks, and I also noticed that I had a loss of breast tenderness within the last week. I was quite concerned because everywhere on the internet, it says that it's a warning sign of miscarriage. I had a prenatal visit a few days ago, and my doctor did say that it can be a cause for concern but not always. After an ultrasound confirmed that all is well, he explained that some women's bodies will adjust to the hormone levels and therefore some of the symptoms reduce or go away around this time. Good luck everyone.

Hi, I'm 10w1d, and my breasts aren't really tender. They were for a few weeks. they do look different though - nipples seem bigger, (sorry if tmi) and I'm starting to notice blue lines a bit. Nothing major - and I have a home doppler and can hear the heartbeat still , so hopefully everything is fine :)

Hello Heart... I am about 8 wks. pregnant and I have loss of breast tenderness since last week. However, I was so nervous something was wrong. I had a sonogram appt. today and they said that everything looks good and that there was a heartbeat of 154bpm. So I wouldnt focus to much on breast tenderness as I can tell you that it does come and go and comes back again. Hope this helps. Take care. good luck heart.

I am 9 weeks, 3 days, and began to feel better about 5 days ago. All nausea subsided, my breasts remain large but not sore, and my heart rate even returned to near-normal levels. I saw my OB at 7 weeks, and all was well. I've had no spotting or discharge, and no cramping or pain.

I am totally experiencing the same thing. I'm about 5 weeks and this morning I noticed my breasts feel less sore. I'm trying not to worry too much since I'm finding out my HCG level tomorrow. My doc said not to read into it too much...Good luck!

I am also 9 weeks 2d and my breasts almost completely stopped hurting two days ago! It is good to see other people have gone through the same thing. I was worried. My tenderness has been pretty bad off and on, but Vanessa2, I DO remember it went away completely when I was 5 weeks. I found that this is normal. And btw it totally came back! Good luck to everyone and lots of you who are almost in the 2nd trimester! Much more relaxing time, from what I hear... :)

I should be around 9 weeks now, but my doctor has not seen a heartbeat after several ultrasounds and is convinced that I am having a miscarriage or abnormal pregnancy. I have not had any symptoms of miscarriage. My hormone levels peaked to 29,000 last week and this week they dropped to 21,000. My gut feeling was that I am still pregnant byt recently my symptoms started going awsy. My breasts were extremely tender and sore and felt fuller for up to around 7 weeks. Now they are completely back to normal. So I started losing hope. My doctor said based on my hormone levels they should have found a heartbeat by now. Monday I am going in to make a decision about a D & C. Should I wait longer? I don't know what to do! The hardest part is not knowing what's going on!

Sosers, what ever happened at your appointment? I hope everything works out for you!
