Hello Girls - It seems right now that everyone is doing good. Good News. I too have had two miscarriages...they believe is the result of low progesterone. I do have a wonderful 6 y/o son and had no complications with him. Well with this one, they took my progesterone level 7 days past ovulation (so before we even knew I was preggy) my progesterone was only 4.5 so doc said to stop prochieve supplements, b/c he didn't see that I could be pregnant from those levels indicating such poor ovulation. Well I didn't listen and continued taking the prochieve, just in case this was the month....I had only 3 days until AF was due. So I waited, took a test and low and behold it was positive. Took my progesterone levels again and they were at 21, then a few days later 28....so basically prochieve saved this pregnancy. I'm 12 1/2 weeks so far...and will continue the procheive until week 14. I've seen the baby quite a few times and have heard the h/b several times. I even rented a fetal doppler so I could listen to the baby's h/b at home every night if I wanted. It's been wonderful so far. Good luck ladies.

I'm 8wk2days and the progesterone has been doing it's job so far. I go in for OB appointment next week and will be a little over 9wks. Hoping they will schedule another ultrasound. Good luck to all!!

hi, i just found out that im pregnant on the 14th of jan. i had a m/c the same time last year and its been hell concieving again. im real scared this time around as my progesterone levels are low at 8.9 and hcg is 267 . the second time i tried my progesterone had fallen further to 8.6, this is after taking supplememnts for 48 hrs. my hcg on the other hand tripled so the doctor seemed to be relaxed. she is putting me on prog shots from tomorrow and im really nervous. i dont think i can go thro the mental trauma of a m/c again. pls help if others have been thro a similar situation .

So I found out on Monday I was pregnant after miscarrying in March and trying ever since. I went for hcg and prgesterone on Monday and then again on Wed. My first level was 150 and then they called and told me that it had doubled as of wed. Now i just got a call from the doc saying it actually hadn't "quite" doubled. so i just got back from getting blood taken again. I have to wait until Tuesday to get the results. I am freaking out. I didnt ask the doc what the level was this time- i should have bc now they are closed. All i know is the first time it was 150. Also they put me on Progesterone suppositories. I am freaking out- any advice or good outlook would be helpful! Thanks!

Don'ty give up hope yet. In 15 % of all pregnancies early pregnancy levels don't "double" as normal but if they are still increasing then youshoudl be okay...depends on how much they rae increasing. You shoudl have at leats a 58% increase in 2-3 days time...sometimes it takes til week 7 or 8 for HCg to start skyrocketing and soem HCG never sky rocket and still have healthy outcomes. Hi girls - Glad to hear it is going well with the prog supplements. My doc mentioned to me that prog supp. can cause cleft lip?? Not sure what that is or how bad, but can anyone else verify this - how common / risks / etc - in case you have already discussed this with your doc? Thanks

Bumblebee- I never heard that and am definately going to ask about that at my next appt soon. I never even heard of the whole progesterone supplement thing until this pregnancy when the dr said he's going to look at the levels as they're lower after having a baby and lower levels could cause miscarriage. I could swear he said they look for a '5' but from reading somee of the other responses, I must have misheard. At any rate, cleft lip is really bad. It's basically a super messed up lip that's a deformity of some sort. It's not cool. I hope I don't need these supplements but I'm sure if it's taken because the levels are really low, then it would be fine. I'm sure people that may be taking them with much higher levels can get that. Too much of anything isn't good. Not sure what the HCG levels are though...

so i just got a call fromt he doc saying the levels didnt double again. Mon it was 150, wed 213 and fri 297. today i should be 5 weeks. The nurse didnt seem positive-she was going to speak with the doctor to see what to do. My pregesterone was 10. are these all bad signs?

The past posts (from 2005-2008) did not carry the story to the end... did these low hcg/ low progestrone numbers result in a healthy full term pregnancy?
I am pregnant for the second time after 3 years of trying. My numbers are not promissing and I am in dispair. At week 4 day 5 my HCG was only 28 and progesterone was 9.7 (that already on Prometrium). I am taking the test tomorrow to see if the HCG doubled... somehow I am loosing my hope (I am also spotting since yesterday and lost my apetite completely...maybe due to worry). Is anybody out there who had something like this going on?

Just wanted to check with you and see how everything is going. I am pregnant for the first time and when I went for the first appt. My hcg was 340 and my progesterone was 8.7. They put me on supplements and when I went back on Friday they did an ultrasound and there was a gestational sac and a little dot inside which is the baby forming! So even tho some ppl have low levels things can still work out. Hope everything is good with you. You r in my thoughts and prayers!!

Found out last Thursday that I was pregnant, took two HPT and both where positive, went to the doctors office and her's cam back negative so she sent me for lab work.
She called me the next day to tell me my HCG was 63, but my progestrone was only 9.5 so she put me on suppliments. This last monday went back in my HCG went to 143 and my progestrone went to 16.7.
Are these # OK, soo scared sense we had been trying for 5 years, and this one came out of no where.
I have no cramping and no spotting, and continue to take suppliments.
I have no cluse how far, sense from what I read some HPT can read a positive as low as 6.5 (Yes, that is what the website said).
I know I Ovulated late bacause I know it was sometime after AF has been visiting, and figured I would get it next month.
Now, I am waiting on my results from todays blood draw that I wont get til tomorrow, and going nuts.
