I'm only 4/5 weeks pregnant and I already notice my pulse has been higher, about 85-100 resting and sometimes if I get up to do something, it'll race as much as 130 (always comes back down with rest). I saw the doctor and they did blood tests, EKG, and I'm booked for an ECG and Halter Monitor but I don't seem to have symptoms of anything else. Has anyone else experienced this in early pregnancy?

Hey mshanson, Yeah I get that too. I have gone to a heart specialist prior to pregnancy and I know I have an irregularly fast heartrate. Resting for me before I was pregnant is 90 or 95 and just like you if I move around of exercise it is not uncommon for my heart rate to jump up to 180-200 bpm so I really have to watch it. You probably have really low blood pressure too. I know I do. On a higher day my blood pressure is like 104/70 or so. There probably isn't anything to worry about. In fact worrying will only make it worse. My anxiety fuels my heart rate as well. I will get scared or something and my heart rate will jump so quick that my blood pressure will drop. That almost always results in either passing out or seeing spots and breaking out in a cold sweat. Last time it happened my blood pressure dropped to 60/40. Take it easy. Im sure every thing will be fine.

Wow! Now that's high! As far as I know it's only gone up to around 130 at the highest. My bp is normal, ranges about 110/75-80 - 125/85 (is higher when my pulse is higher), so within normal range.
