STD Testing - Please Help!

Do all doctors do STD testing at your first appointment when you find out you are preggers? I know my doctor did a TON of tests, and I think that was on the list but I can't remember. I have never had any symptoms to think that I could have something any other time. This morning I woke up with this little bump down there (not inside me- and far away from the vagina opening) it almost looks like a little zit or ingrown hair. I have no idea what it could be. I am 13 weeks pregnant. IT almost looks like a boil, I have a routine appoinment this afternoon but was wondering if anyone might be of help as to what this could be????? Thanks

kk- Generally they do test you for everything including STDs. The bump could be contributed to absolutely nothing. I have been getting bumps on my butt, a break out on my face, and on my inner thigh as well. They all look like zits. I don't have anything and know I have contracted anything since my last visit to the OB. Be calm and talk to your doctor. Good luck.

kk, I got a sore "bump" and it turned out to be a swollen lymph node. That is what the doctor told me and gave me a mild antibiotic to take, which I never took and it was gone in less than a week. I've had one under my arm since I've been pregnant - I think b/c my bra was getting tight. If it is a swollen lymph node, nothing in the world will pop it (don't ask how I know, lol) and it will go away on its' own in a few days. I don't want to tell you not to go to the doc, but it sounds like you've been tested for everything. Good luck!!

Thank you all. I know that I dont' have an STD, you just get nervous ya know?? It's just the skin is all irritated and I have this pimple like thing there. Its no wear near the vaginal opening. It isn't really bothering me, but I think I might call the doctor anyway. What do you think? I didn't ask yesterday cause I totally forgot cause I had about 800 other questions and I was so excited about hearing the babies heartbeat for the first time. Thanks all

I have genital herpes, and my Midwife tested me for absoloutely everything too. The great thing now is that if I have zero sores on the cervix or vaginal opening I can have a vaginal birth!! I am so happy about that.I do not want a c-section.Also, there is a safe medicine that you take a fw weeks before you are expected to deliver and that keeps away the breakouts. I have not had a breakout in over 6 months. I feel very happy about that. I am 8 weeks pregnant and so far so good.
Do not sweat about any bumps or anything that may seem differnt. The chances are it was there the whole time and now that you are more aware of your body you are just noticing it now. Still get everything checked to be on the safe side.

Hi i am 13 weeks also and I had a strange pimple like bump in my bikini area a few weeks ago. I of course panicked and went to the doctor who told me that it was an infected hair follicle and that as long as it didn't get worse it would go away on its own. You may have the same thing if you shave your bikini area. Just put a warm cloth on it now and again and it will go away on it's own.
