So I started having stomach issues yesterday (the gross kind) and I thought it would pass. It still hadnt today. My stomach was cramping horrible, doc says it sounds like Norwalk virus and I cant eat for 24 hours. All of the stomach wretching has caused horrible cramping in my abdomen and now Im so scared of losing the baby over this virus. All I can do is keep hydrated and wait. Anyone else have this kind of thing happen? Im pretty down and feeling awful.

My last pregnancy I got sick with the flu or something like it right after I found out practically. All turned out fine. Try not to worry too much.

Try not to worry Patience. Keep up on vitamins. Ask your doc if you need to take any extra vitamins or minerals due to the virus / dehydration / etc? Maybe Vit C / Vit B's, etc? or take more yogurt to get more good bacteria in your guts to fight this off? Crushed garlic helps ward off bac/ virus / etc. Boil it w/ ginger in water and then drink with some lemon juice added. This will hydrate, feel good, and fight infec's. If u can't eat anything, can u at least do light soups or chicken broths?
Wish u the best.

Thanks guys, I ended up in ER last night with fever and was still cramping horribly. Doc gave me some meds to stop my intestines from spasming. Hoping I can eat a little today without instant retaliation from my tummy. He didnt check the baby, said as long as no spotting or anything that I should be fine.

Sorry to hear about that Patience. I had a stomach flu when I was pregnant with my second baby and it was awful! But my pregnancy progressed just fine so I'm sure everything's going to be ok. Hope you feel better soon.
