I was actually 5 weeks 2 days at my firsts ultrasound and all they saw was the yolk sac, no biggie. I went back at 7 weeks at saw the bean and his heart beat. I'm now 28 weeks, no worries! Good luck!

Yep. With my daughter i had my 1st ultrasound at 5 weeks and saw only the yolk sac. The tech said the fetus would have been visible in just a few days. Didnt they tell you?

Today we got the bad news that our baby will no longer be our baby. Again we ddin't see the heartbeat at 7wks and it was confirmed that I will probably miscarry or make the decision of a d and c, which who wants to go through that when you are already going through so many emotions. However, I know I will become a mom someday and I hope to chat with some of you again someday. Good luck to you ladies and your new little ones.

Thank you all so much for you answers. I was just wanting to let everyone know that I got to see the heartbeat. I had an u/s at 6 weeks and 1 day. I was so happy cause me and the baby's father got to see it together for the first time.

I went for a vaginal ultrasound yesterday and they said i'm about 5-6 weeks. They were able to see the bean (sac) clearly but no baby! The tech said its normal, it happens. However, the doctor told me she'll do another ultrasound next week and if they don't see the baby she said they're going to have to make a decision on terminating the sac. This is nerve recking for me and i don't know what to think. First baby!
