Hi ladies,
There isn't much info out there about pregnancy and fibromyalgia. Here is a brief background for me, I'm now 28 years old and have had fibro since I was 12 (yes, it's been a long haul). I just got pregnant (after miscarriage) and was off most of the medicines I've been taking to be functional. I have stayed on two because I need to maintain at a low pain level to prevent any pregnancy loss due to stress or other complications. I also have always had trouble sleeping, which is usual in fibro patients. But now that I'm pregnant, I can't sleep at all!!
I'm getting 2-4 hours a night (I used to get 7-10) and I need at least six to function properly. Now I'm not able to work or do anything much even around the house.
My doctors are researching to see if they can do anything for sleep (I've tried all the alternative medical approaches and Unisom, etc). Does anyone have ANY suggestions??? I'd be eternally grateful!
