You can show when naked as early as 11-12 weeks. Any "showing" earlier than that is not due to the baby's size but is from bowel distention and bloating.

I too am 5 1/2 weeks prego, and I still fit in all my clothes, but there is a very small bump that I can see and feel. Although, I've had major abdominal surgery in the past, so with the lack of muscle tone there, I'm expected to show sooner.

I gained a pound per week in the first trimester and so outgrew all of my clothes quickly. People suddenly realized that I was pregnant but it was hard to tell them up until week 16 that I had gained about five pounds of fat on my stomach and that the baby was still below my pelvis. After week 16 though, I could surely tell the baby was there!

i am approximately 12 weeks im alittle chubby in the first place but there is a bump below my navel that i can feel. but a family member said their stomach was harder underneath her chest area at the beginning but i thought it started below your navel so i feel all over an i notice mine is where ive heard its suppose to be... sorry so long.
