hello ladies, i am 9 weeks pregnant today, and my nausea has seemed to vanish in the past few days. i get the occasional nausea when i wake up in the morning, but other than that i don't feel sick anymore. i just felt a shooting chest pain, and when i wake up my BBs are still sore...everything is still the same except for the morning sickness. This happened to me last week, but it came back full force a few days later...i had to go out and buy those preggie pops candies, and they seemed to work. i'm just worried that something may be wrong, because the nausea just vanished. this morning i threw up when i brushed my teeth. that never happened before. i still feel that i am pregnant, but i get scared that i am going to lose my baby. any experienced ladies have anything to say? this is my first pregnancy, and i am scared. i want my bay to live to term, and i don't want anything to be wrong....ladies?

Hi PJ, I'm the same way. I'm 8 1/2 weeks along and for the past 3 weeks I've been nausea 24/7. I thought mine went away for a few days, but it's back. I just picked up the motion sickness bands at CVS and hoping they work. I'm sure everything is fine. My friend is 14 weeks pregnant and she would be sick for 4 days and fine for 3 days so unless you have other symptoms I wouldn't worry.

yes, i have other symptoms, it's just i get so worried beause the nausea is gone...but again, it happened last week, and came back strong and with a mean vengence a few days later. i still crave weird foods, i still have sore bbs, and i am still dead tired. maybe it's just a hormonal fluctuation, or something. i am going to try not to worry. thanks for the advice. you should try those preggie pops/candies. how do those bands work? i tried to buy some at rite-aid but they didn't sell them...

I know it's easier said than done to not worry, this is my 2nd pregnancy. I miscarried the 1st at 8 weeks, so when I feel good I worry too. I have all the same symptoms you do, I think you are right it's the fluctuation of our hormones (which my husband loves j/k). Today is the first day using the wrist bands I will try them for a few days to see if they work. I've heard great things about them.

Hi Renee and PJ, This is my fourth pregnancy I am 10 weeks and my last pregnancy I miscarried at 12 weeks(I have two healthy children). I actually am happier when I feel horrible, because I know Im still pregnant. My symptoms disappeared at 8 weeks 4 days I lost all symptoms, but breast soreness came back next day and nausea I didnt get for 3 days. I was so worried I went to doctor for ultrasound and got to hear babies heartbeat and after that nausea came back worse, but only stayed two days and now I have sensitive breasts, but nothing like before. I do find a lot of foods gross me out ones I used to enjoy and Im very limited to what I actually like to eat, but no throwing up or gagging anymore. I think its hormone surges, but after losing a baby its hard to relax and enjoy the times when you have no nausea. I have been pregnant enough times you would think I would know, but ever pregnancy has been very different one I had lots of nausea the next I had no nausea or breast soreness and they both resulted in healthy babies. The baby I miscarried I was really sick the first few weeks and had breast soreness and that all disappeared and then I found out it was a missed miscarriage. I wouldent worry too much remember we are all getting closer to the second trimester and I had read that symptoms start to ease up , so just take care of yourselves and those little ones inside of you!!

Hi Tara, Had you seen a heartbeat yet before you miscarried at 12 weeks?

Tara - September 27th, 2005 6:19 PM

Becky, I got to see heartbeat with baby I miscarried, but knowing what I know now I would have thought things were ok. I went in for ultrasound at 6 weeks 4 days and baby was only measuring 5 weeks 2 days and we could only find baby through transvaginal ultrasound. We could see the heart beating ,but could not get the ultrasound to register it because it was so slow. I didnt know anything at that time and had never had an early scan before. My first two pregnancies I only had 1 ultrasound at 18 weeks. I know baby I lost was off in dates because we used ovulation strips and knew exactly when I ovulated.I went in for my first appointment with Obgyn and he has a very weak ultrasound machine and didnt even try to locate heartbeat . The only thing he said was baby was really small . Baby had no heartbeat at 12 week appointment and determined missed miscarriage. I read a paper at family doctor office and in my file from Obgyn they perdicted baby was most likely 8 weeks, but he never measured baby at 9 weeks appointment so I dont know how they determined that, because I took abortion drug and passed baby at home, then I had my D&C. When I passed baby at home I thought size resembled a 10-11 weeks ol fetus, but it was so messy Im not even for sure.My baby never had a strong heartbeat or measured correct for its dates so its chances of being viable pregnancy were slim. I wish doctors would have told me if they thought there was a problem, instead of me getting my hopes up.

PJ- more than likely if you were having a m/c....you would be bleeding and/or cramping badly. I dont think you would feel totally fine if you were loosing your baby. I'm sure you are fine. good luck to you.

Well ladies, it came back stronger than ever today...I had to get sent home from work. I called the doctor's office before it happened, because I was worried, and I asked if this was normal. I am a new mommy to be, so i have so many concerns. They told me that if I was still concerned, I can come listen to the baby's heartbeat in a week or so. After that, i went to the bathroom at work, and just prayed and prayed, and told God that I need my baby, and I love them so much and to please help me to ease my mind. When I went back to my desk after that, I gagged when i smelled food, and they sent me home...I took a nap, but boy, when I woke up, i was sick as a dog. I couldn't even stand up straight. I said welcome back in my mind. i was so worrie when it went away like that, because i tought maybe something was wrong. I read that if pregnancy signs go away suddenly, then it's something to worry about. Thank you ladies. You know how it is to worry about your child. I just want my baby to be healthy and to continue to develop right. Thank you for your kind words. May God bless us all and help us to carry all of our babies to term and deliver healthy babies.....THANK YOU!!!

PJ - That is good news!

Don't stress! It's only your hormones fluctuating from day to day. I'm 7 1/2 weeks and have had the same come and go s/s since my 5th week. I, too, worried like crazy when my s/s seemed to disappear for a few days, but then they came back a few days later. I just finished with about 5 days of constant nausea and no appetite. Now I'm feeling better, but I know it will be just a matter of time and the s/s will be back. Don't worry or stress yourself. This is totally normal. And if it helps to put your mind at ease, I confirmed all this with my midwife. She said lots of women are like this. Hope this helps!
