If you do see this, my question is really about what you saw at each of those u/s and if you knew the sac size and hcg levels at the time you had the sono performed. I would really appreciate it.

Ugh! I don't know if I can remember all those numbers! At 5w4d, we saw a little fuzzy spot.... I don't recall the sac size, but I think the spot measured 1.8 mm. At 7w3d, I'll have to check tonight, but I think the baby was around 2cm. I have a printout from my 9w6d u/s, and I can look that up at home tonight for you also...

Oh lord I was right. My baby is gonna be huge. My 7.4 week ultrasound the baby measured 7cm.

Thank you so much. I had a tiny sac, but couldn't see much inside, that is what I am worried about. I was at 5.5m sac size at 5wk6days, 2900 HCG. I have my next u/s at 7wk1day. I have one IVF beautiful baby and this was my second natural pregnancy. My ivf Dr. is taking such good care of me and I am monitored regularly, but I lost one at 8 weeks in Nov, so it is a little raw. Even if I never have another child, I am blessed so with the one I have, but it is tough to wait this out. I really appreciate you sharing with me. I will check and see if you write more tonight and God bless you and the little life inside you.

Kelly K - my goodness! That is a LOT bigger than my measurements! Did they change your due date based on it, or do they just think its growing GREAT???

They actually pushed my due date UP. I went down to 7.4 weeks intead of the 8 I should have been according to the first ultrasound. I'm really in for it with this kid. He's going to be wrapped around my ribs before it's all said and done.

D-Your first sono will show the sac diameter over on the side, I'm sure. I said my HCG wrong, at that point it was 2000. You are really sweet to look this up for me, thanks.

The problem is, they didn't give me a picture the first one.... just the last two.... I don't know if I can get the measurements from Medical Records or not...

Oh D, that is not necessary. You are sweet to even think of it. I just have to last until next Monday for my next u/s. My HCG has been slowing down, not dropping at all, but taking 3 days or more to double, so I am extra worried I guess. Thanks again, I'll keep you posted.

Lucy - Well, my pictures have a spot for all the measurements, but they're empty! All I have is CRL and HR. At 5w4d the CRL was 12mm, at 9w6d it was 28mm. I have done a little looking around on the internet, and found some figures that might help you some. They're from all different websites, and I forgot to copy the links... In any case, one site said that the normal values can range 4-6 days from the expected size, and females may show a bit of a smaller CRL than males. Week 6: GS (gestational sac) 17mm, CRL 3-4mm; Week 7: GS 24mm, CRL 10mm; Week 8: GS 31mm, CRL 15-16mm; Week 9: GS 38mm, CRL 23-25mm; Week 10: GS 45mm, CRL 31-35mm; Week 11: CRL 41-50mm; Week 12: CRL 53-60mm, Week 13: CRL 67-75mm; Week 14: CRL 80-90mm, Week 15: CRL 91-105mm; Week 16: CRL 101-120mm; Week 17: 111-140mm; Week 18: 121-160mm Looks to me like the normal values can vary quite a bit! I've not been informed if my HCG levels have been checked at all.

Kelly K - are you sure they didn't mean 7mm? That would seem normal for 7-8 weeks....

Lucy - does your doc seem to think your sac size is ok? It seems like this early in a pregnancy, it changes so much in just a day that if your ovulation dates are off just a little bit, your sac will show a big difference. I hope everything works out for you... I know this waiting is hard.... I'm starting to feel like I might make it out of the woods since I've made it okay so far, but when I was 5-7 weeks, I have to admit, I was pretty scared! Especially when I started spotting. I hope everything goes well for you. When is your next appointment? You said it was at 7w... is that this week or next?
